As much as our offense doesn't click consistently, I still expect the D to own Northwestern. I think Northwestern will get worn down on D then the gates will open for a few scores. 24-6, good guys.

I feel like the feast or famine nature of the offense has been a product of how people are playing us. Stacking the box and getting your safeties up to the line bottles up the offense, until they dial up something that catches you of guard, then it's off to the races.

Obviously we came out flat today. Tons of dumb penalties, and we just looked sloppy all-around. Even the defense looked sluggish to start. I think this was just a typical "letdown" game after a big win against BYU. Plus we were on the road, where we've definitely struggled for years.

We'll have a good game next week, but at home, the good guys will win by more than one score.

Seriously. No, they didn't play great, but looking at this and the snowflakes thread, it's amazing how much doom and gloom there is out there for 4-1 season in which our defense is elite and our single loss came on the road to a really good team.

Not to mention how much better off we are compared to the last 9 years.

Even the best of teams have sloppy games. OSU barely beat NIU at home a few weeks ago. And they're the #1 team in America.

This stuff happens. Harbaugh will get on these guys and make the necessary adjustments for next week. Northwestern will be one hell of a challenge though. They will come into Ann Arbor expecting to win.
