My "Cool Story Bro" Moment

I made the trek up from NJ to watch the game yesterday. It was incredible, obviously. Today, while driving back, my family and I stopped at  Perkins in Ohio, not sure what exit number. I was still wearing my Denard jersey. When we were seated, the hostess asked me if I was at the game yesterday. We talked about it for a little before me told me her son played on Michigan's football team. Her son is Fitzgerald Toussaint. We spent about a good 15 minutes talking about the game and the TD he had taken away. She got a hefty tip to say the least.

As I said, it's just another "cool story bro" moment, but I thought I'd share.

Should this thread be locked?

Should this thread be locked? If that was a very big tip it could potentially be bad.  I mean I usually tip on the low side, but now I don't want to see Michigan in trouble because of something stupid like this.

A UM Law grad from almost 40 years ago, who is probably some rich lawyer now, bragging about being a shitty tipper = negative eleventy billion points or banhammer.

While we're on the topic....

I've gone back and forth on if I should post my own cool story bro from The Game, and since we've got a nice thread going here, this seems like a good place to do it.

My seat on Saturday was unfortunately very close to the visitor section and there was one fan in particular (among many) that was very obnoxious.  I typically make a conscious effort to ignore them and rarely interact--UNLESS they cheer when an opposing player is hurt.

So, when Denard went down in the second quarter, this bucknut started clapping and cheering.  I couldn't bite my tongue and said something to the effect of his actions being classless and disgusting, to which he replied "you do what you gotta do" and "everyone does it."  I responded that that is not indeed the case, and tsio and State fans are the only ones who do (coincidentally, I got in a similar argument with a State fan when Denard went down in East Lansing).

Fast forward to the second half when tsio had at least two or three players go down with injuries.  When we heard no U of M fans cheer when the players went down (but instead only when they got up to make their way off the field), it was a great case in point for that bucknut that U of M has much more class and is not a program that cheers when other players get injured--and we made sure he recognized that fact.

Just another instance on Saturday that reminded me it's great to be a Michigan Wolverine.

I had the same thing happen when Denard got hurt. I was sitting with my friends and three OSU band alumnus were cheering when it happened. I ripped their shit so hard I don't think they cheered the rest of the game.

Pieces of garbage.

I had a Notre Dame fan tell

I had a Notre Dame fan tell me (this summer) that he would be rooting for Denard to break both ankles on national TV during the Under the Lights game.  I was shocked because I don't expect that kind of ugly, no-class garbage from ND fans.

Needless to say I thought of that fellow at the end of the ND game, and hoped he was in the fetal position somewhere.

Speaking of classlessness, Eleven Warriors has been tweeting some pre-emptive outrage at the way the media will cover any NCAA sanctions.  Apparently, criminal & disgusting scandals elsewhere means that we are all supposed to dial back our concern about programs who flout compliance with NCAA rules.  Who knew?

My cool story

bro moment was during the home opener against Western. I mentioned it on a thread then, but I sat next to a lady who turned out to be Will Campbell's mom. She said her son loved Hoke. I bet a lot of people love Hoke even more after yesterday.

There's no doubt that Apple

There's no doubt that Apple has not only transformed computers but also marketing techniques which enable product users to love and be more loyal to the brand. .It's important that Apple keeps pushing awareness of new updates to their users. However, it's no surprise that the marketing outlet of television commercials which reaches the mass majority of their users is beginning to be ignored. TV viewers, especially viewers who already own iPhone and iPad devices are slowly starting to ignore the standard Apple commercials as shown above. The time for an existing Apple device user to realize an update is available is not as prominent as in the beginning of the iPhone era.
