Must SEE: New Nik Stauskas backyard three point shooting video

Submitted by 615Wolverine on
Nice video of him hitting 70/76 three point shots in 5 minutes! The best part about the video was he hit 46 consecutive shots in a row and it was raining! Here's the link, enjoy. http://youtu.be/yuH5mqHKIUk

How far is that three-point stripe there?  Not questioning the results, and maybe it was the camera angle, but just wondering?  Regardless, incredibly impressive.

I mean it is kind of impressive but he had two count em TWO rebounders, AND he had all that wind to help guide his shot AND the wet ball must have helped reduce the friction.

yoooo his brother or friend needs to get upgrade his jacket a couple sizes that looks uncomfortable.

Just from the way Stauskas carries himself he's definitely going to be running some kind of shooting camp in the future.

Now be that great in a game or even half that great on a somewhat consistent basis and then we're talkin'. Shoot, he wouldn't even have to worry about defense or anything else if he could consistently shoot even close to this well in a actual game all season.

Some of you guys are clowns. You realize this guy you are criticizing shot 4% higher than JJ Redick's career average for 3s as a freshman right?

Apparently this board will not be satisfied until he blocks 70 out of 76 layups in 5 minutes. How dare he work on his shot in the offseason. It is 3 weeks after his season ended...couldn't he have come out with a defensive footwork video? How selfish of him to not do what we feel he should be doing.

Keep shooting dude.  Don't stop shooting til you graduate with the Michigan 3 pointer record.  Seriously, this kid has the abilitiy.  This is an illogical percentage to shoot.  He's automatic.

The video is pretty cool, but since Canadian threes aren't worth as much, instead of being worth 210 points, here in the US those 70 shots would only be worth, like 205 points or something.

The 46 in a row were nice, but towards the end he missed 3 in a row.  This makes me question his conditioning.  Also, one of the ones he missed was one where the pass wasn't quite perfect.  Makes me question his hands.  Also, it wasn't really raining that hard.  Makes me question his concentration.  I would be more impressed if there were thunder and lightning there as distractions.  Or maybe if the court were on fire.  Yeah, fire.  Next time he should pour gasoline all over the court and light it on fire.  If he could hit 70 of 76 while the court was on fire, then I would be impressed (plus doing it in a thunderstorm of course) (and by moonlight, and, I guess, firelight).
