Munn INVASION Redux: Nostalgia

Submitted by VictorsValiant09 on

Just finished re-watching the video highlights of our hockey sweep of MSU earlier this year. In the CCHA Tournament. In their own building. Easily one of my top five sports moments at Michigan, though I was a recent Alum, I'll include it because of how we TOOK OVER Munn. Pure, rapturous, JOY. No other way to describe it.

If anyone else would like to recollect on this joy-gasm, let's call it, commence.  Man, was that fun!

Also, I'm trying to see if any of the video highlights were subsequently uploaded to YouTube at all, I'd love to watch the highlights in that format, because the MGoBlue media player sucks.

Go Blue!

Sat behind the MSU bench for both games. Watching Palmisano's body language after being pulled was great. And then watching Tropp get injured in pregames, was great karmic justic. And then seeing all the seniors devastated and saying farewell to their 50 fans was awesome. I hope Comley was able to hear me over the glass.

Yep, the game was sweet.

My favorite part was having our cowbell taken away by the stingy Munn ushers, yet we kept trying to ask why the other kids in the 'msu section' could play theirs.

Also, they seemed to be right on the ball with hating on vuvuzelas! We had a good number of them to begin with.  We'd play one, have it taken away by said ushers, and then start right back up on another one.  Rinse.  Repeat

From watching the game many, many miles away, that was incredible to watch. Made me incredibly proud of our fans, alums, and current students that made the trip. Same for those that went to Fort Wayne.
