Seems to me Kings made Dantonio's decision quite easy. Second offense. Assaulted an officer. Here's the door. Or is Sparty really unided?

and MSU's colors are green and white.   This isn't even a story because its par for the course throughout their history.    If it was a Michigan player in the news.. it is a big story because it is not as common of an event and its more of... how did one of the flock go astray..    Kind of like..  Corn in Indiana is not news.... but Corn in Alaska..  big news.

I just googled Corn in Alaska...  not very common..  but it has happened.

Dantonio practically drove Winston from jail to the practice field.  I doubt 2 DUIs mean much in EL.

It's a few Fulmer Cup points -- that's about it!

Payne and Appling allowed to stay 4 years when they could have been easily dismissed under the same type of policy Gibbons was?

The recommendation from the police was to charge those guys, the recommendation in Gibbons case was no charge.

This was all known locally while Hoke was peppered with questions about Gibbons.   Gibbons wasn't allowed to graduate from our school.

Frank Clark got a second chance and was dismissed.  But remember Hoke acted too slow releasing the statement on Monday after the incident occurred late Saturday/early Sunday.

Also on the previous incident, Clark was never convicted of anything.  He pled guilty under a Michigan Law Holmes Youthful Trainee Act. thats allow people 17-20 to serve a probationary period and have the charge dismissed after that is complete, which is what he did.

The legal system and Michigan both gave him a second chance.   After his other incident, he was promplty dismissed.

There's either a tone of indifference or pleasure around this kid screwing up again. While rcmb probably gets a laugh every time a michigan kid screws up, it doesn't mean we should take pleasure in watching a young guy piss his life away.

I'm just trying to imagine, given Dantonio's general demeanor, what it must be like to have to meet with him to discuss the matter after being released from jail. No envy for that shit!

Come on guys, lets actually avoid throwing stones until we can at least claim we have fewer arrests. I love my school, but I'm so tired of this holier than thou attitidue. Couldn't resist jumping in. Just win games.

Arrests by Big Ten Schools since 2012

Iowa - 12
Ohio State - 11
Purdue - 8
Michigan - 7
Nebraska - 5
Rutgers - 4
Penn State - 3
Minnesota - 3
Indiana - 2
Illinois - 2
Wisconsin - 1
MSU - 1 (Kings now makes 2)
Maryland - 1
Northwestern - 0

If you go back to 2011
Michigan - 14
MSU - 8

Nah, just noting the oddity in how you "love my school", and yet, with everything that's happened with University of Michigan athletics in the last six months, it took a thread about an MSU player's arrest to get you to join and start posting. OK.

The facts are ugly. Good luck finding a post where I'm pretending they're not.

It's not so much about the arrests as it is the coach who ignores discipline (while calling himself a "dean of discipline").  It's also a little comedic to only go back a couple years with MSU when they nearly lead the nation in 2009/10 arrests.  All schools have kids who do dumb things; some schools don't care (MSU, FSU, the U), others do something about it.

Kids are going to do dumb things. I overlooked the fact that the total number doesn't really matter. What's more important is the reaction and steps made by the program, whether it's one kid or 50. Going to be interesting to see how much time he misses.

Wait until you clowns lose someone you love to a drunk driver -- an otherwise 100% preventable loss.

Perhaps then you'll stop being so flip about kids doing dumb things.

The point is not to make fun of Kings beacuse obvioulsy he has a problem.  It's the whole RCMB and MSU fanbase.  For some reason (Green wall) they have had very few players arrested that we hear about.  They sill have Gibbons/Lewan/Stonum posts on the RCMB and if this would have been a Michigan player in the same circumstance there would be a 1500+ post thread over there within hours of the news.  They already are spinning it to say they trust Dantonio to do the right thing and how its not a big deal to be drunk.

Sparty's obsession is sad. I'm sure they are in full spin mode. My point was simply that the game is dirty across the board. It's a fascinating website and you could spend hours on there, espcially looking through the SEC schools. Who would have thought Iowa would be leading the big ten in arrests. Let's stop worrying about claiming moral superiority and beat them on the damn field.

It seems like a foregone conclusion that there will be some kind of suspension. Question is, how long? I seem to have read that they play Western, then Oregon. My guess is he will be dressed but not start versus Western. If it appears that they could lose to Western I would guess that Dantonio will put Kings in with a horrible scowl on his face. And no, I don't mean Dantonio will be scowling because he feels he  has to  put a two-time loser into a game, he'll be scowling because that's what he does! I fully expect Kings will play against Oregon
