MSU v. Notre Dame

Submitted by MichiganNomad on

I was just looking over the box score of the Michigan State v. Notre Dame game. I had no idea that Dayne Crist shredded the Spartan Defense. 461 yards against a statue? I'm pretty sure that Denard presents more challenges that Dayne Crist. (Obviously) IMHO I think Michigan will have more passing yards than rushing yards this week.

I also think that the same methods that Sparty wants to use against us will be employed against them this week. I think we pass first, run to convert third downs and keep their offense off of the field. This game, to me, will look much more like the UCONN game.

Their smartest play is to flood the running lanes with lots of guys and get us into obvious passing downs, then bring the pressure.

It seems pretty likely there will opportunities for very good gains in the air on the early downs. Especially against that secondary.

Love the options we have to move the ball in this game.
