Title says it all - some kid set off a homemade bomb in a parking structure to celebrate Michigan's loss on Monday. Look, some fires may have been set in AA, but I think this forever sets the bar at a height we will not reach.

Which in turn is directly modeled off of Triumph of the Will**, so the parallel to North Korea is not without surprise.

**That Disney filmmakers were able to do this is probably the single ballsiest move in Disney movie-making history, which is part of the reason why The Lion King is such an outstanding film.

When are they gonna celebrate the hanging of their Sweet Sixteen banner?

Enough with the topics on these less-thans. I'm sick of it clogging the boards.

Not saying it would be my idea of a fun time, but it's just a damn works "bomb." Am I the only one who made these as kids just to mess around? It'd be like having an article title saying "student fires a gun after loss," only to open the article and see that it was just a cap gun. What a joke...

Bomb is a strong word, isn't it?  They put tin foil in Drain-o which make a lot of sounds but not much else.  It's more of a firework.  It's still stupid to do it on a campus building and in celebration of a rival's loss but firework would be a more appropriate word.

I disagree. They made those shirts for their home game against us, which was a huge game for them, and they crushed us. Probably a cool college memory for those students.

If we made shirts for a home OSU football game that we won big, the shirts wouldn't be less cool if they win their bowl game and we don't.

but the shirts could only be worn once!  Walking around in a "you off" shirt, I believe, doesn't have the same effect today.   I always try to get at least two wears out of all my shirts.  I'm just saying it wasn't the best purchase for extensive wear.  Would have been better off buying a plain "State" shirt.

part of that whole game.  Very clever.  I just think now it looks absurd because of how the whole season ended and makes me laugh.  My husband once wanted a "Save Balloon Boy" shirt.  I discouraged that purchase, as it really doesn't stand the test of time.

But lots of cheap t-shirts are like that.  There were plenty of things in college I bought shirts for that I rarely wore again but I didn't care because it was cool for the one things I bought it for.

That said - why can't they wear them again?  It's still a green and white MSU shirt.  Can we not wear UTL shirts anymore?  Or those maize shirts from previous seasons?  It commemorates a big game, that they won big.  At the very least, it's appropriate for every UM-MSU basketball game.
