This will be the repository for your thoughts and hot takes on the defense in our game versus Michigan State.

One first down the entire second half plus the last 7 minutes of the first half. This defense is absolutely elite and we are not helping them at all in offense. I don’t really even blame O’Korn for a lot of that because I’m not sure why we were passing in a monsoon.

I was just talking to a friend of mine today and I joked that I wished we played Notre Dame tonight because of the forecasted rain because I know Purple Face would throw even in a hurricane. Apparently we do too.

This is true.  The fact is that with the weather coming in and the known incompetence of our offense, 2 first half td's was too much.  Don't get me wrong, the defense in the second half was nothing short of spectacular.  But in this game, they needed a better first half for us to win.  Much as we will all blame the offense, the fact is that the defense could have won this game with a more effective first half.

Job as always, with our D we only need to muster 20 points a game to win. Unfortunately, our offense is horse shit and will be lucky to reach that the rest of the way.

Don Brown is this team’s lone saving grace. Earns his paycheck every Saturday.

Could’ve pressured Lewerke more, but they shut MSU down the entire second half. They gave the offense plenty of chances to win the game. This loss is in no way on the defense.

what a fucking great defense. if we even had a moderately shitty offense we could go undefeated. Instead we have a soul sucking fuck bag full of shit cakes that are banging my girlfriend masquerading as a slightly less shitty fuck bag full of shitty diarrhea soup bowls readu to bend over and poop on their own heads.

I honestly worry that Don Brown is just going to leave one day, after gettig so tired of being the best Defense in the country but getting zero help from the Offense.

Who needs that shit?

Only thing one could say is that they did not generate any turnovers.

Come close to a couple of INTs.  Would have swung the game in M's favor.

But (obviously) this loss is a result of poor offensive game plan and poor offensive play (esp. 5 turnovers).

Tough watching our D sit there and take it after the game and the offense ran off like fuck this shit I'm going home.

Gary played up to what we have been expecting. Hurst was a beast. Winovich did Winovich things. McRay was a liability in the first half. Bush balled out.

We better fix our fucking offense fast or this will be our eternity

Your offensive playcalling is HORRENDOUS!!  Yeah, Isaac's fumble was huge and O'Korn is not great.  But the coaching is so subpar that we really can't expect much more this year unless there's a change.  It's like having Hoke coaching the offense again!!!

For all those commenting on no turnovers. MSU took no risk. We didn't allow a first down in the 2nd half until there were 3 mins left. What the fuck more do you want?

There were a couple we had a shot at with a little more luck.  The one they caught over Watson's head on the second TD drive, the fumbled snap at the end if it bounces differently, those both come to mind.

But yeah, State was really conservative once they got the lead.  Dantonio coached like he understood the weather report.

Shit first half. Better in the second but unsure how hard State actually tried and still didn't properly contain their only threat; the QB's legs.
