we can't play defense, and GRIII and Stauskus have gone dormant. Trey Burke is simply not as good as advertised, Hardaway gets frazzled in big games, and our bigs can't score. In Big Ten play, this team has been no better than last year's.

I know the coaches talk about the rivalries a lot, but the team doesn't come out with any passion or toughness. MSU and OSU come out ready to rock.

Sparty may not be as good as they look tonight but they are probably the best team in the B10. I want to see them play IU in the B10 Tourney to judge but Michigan isn't mentally or physically tough enough to hang with them when they are on top of their game. I don't like to admit it, but it is true. We match up better with Indiana which is why they didn't totally embarrass us. This program still has work to do before they are on an elite level. They are still very young and the experience will help down the road. The expectations have kind of grown out of control and the team is getting hit with a reality check.

Could it be Belien is not used to coaching a team with NBA talent? Its different coaching teams that have good college players but not nba talent. This team has talent but lacks effort at times.
