MSU motivational board is hilarious

The @CollegeGameday handle tweeted out a picture of the MSU motivational board in the locker room yesterday and surprise, their mentality in life still hasn't changed...

"Approach the challenges of every day – in all phases of your life – with a fist fight mentality!"

Isn't that what's gotten so many of their players in jail to this point? When in doubt, fist fight.

"We will accept challenges that are difficult beyond comprehension"

Turn that board into a succinct mission statement, Mark. Yeesh.

Other than that, yeah, I think most teams do this...every week.

Eh...nothing to see here..a sports team uses motivational quotes to get pumped up - shocking! All I take away from this thread is original poster is clearly obsessed with MSU to bother caring about this.

Standard stuff. I am not a big fan of stuff like "Be uncomfortable being comfortable." What does that even mean? If I am comfortable being uncomfortable, then don't I have to become uncomfortable being comfortable. My head is spinning. I am sure players would rather go hit somebody than read this.

Yeah. Be happy being unhappy. Be tall being short. Be done being undone. Be something while being its opposite. As an adult these literal contradictions are dumb and meaningless. We all have to guess at the point they are trying to make, but with so many other ways to say it, it seems idiotic to use one that is virtually meaningless. This is true for all schools doing this.

Not the motivational board, but you trying to make fun of it. Apparently it works because they're ranked 5th in the country. Plus if Harbaugh did this you would drool over how great it is.

Don't tell them that the description for College Football Live on ESPNU yesterday (on Comcast) said:
Repeat, HD, from East Lansing, Mich., for "Oregon vs. Michigan Week."
Marquee matchup of the week, and they call them Michigan. I actually agree that they get less respect than other teams with similar recent success.

These quotes are so pathetic!! I mean if they were any good they would finish in the top 4 some year instead of 5th two years in a row!  These words are obviously not working!!!
