The Spartan defense needs a different snap timing to deal with. Week after week I can watch the M center and time his snap!! It's ridiculous! I learned in 7th grade flag football to change up a snap count!!!!!!!!!
MSU Game Open Thread
Im tired of this shit, been tired of it since RR years... We shouldnt be in this position this under performance is getting veeery old
Reading the posts from you guys is very disheartening. MSU is treeing in this game. They should have already turned it over twice, and Michigan botched a snap to screw ourselves. Come off the ledge, and stop whining.
I would if this were the first time I've seen it, but we've been underperforming on the road systemically, while other teams, like our opponents, seem to be able to consistently do the things we wish we could do with fewer resources and less talent. We're not in a terrible position, but we could/should be in a great position.
I'm drinking plenty of beer while watching this game. Everything is driving me crazy
We gotta get that running game going
Yeah, um, that's not happening
Our oline can't block States defensive line.
All the halftime adjustments won't fix that. They are soft as a cotton ball. It's personnel really. Are they working hard enough in the weight room, because they look so physically weak.
or developed. Oldest guys in middle that line are RS Sophomores, ie Juniors. & some of them are small for linemen
lol -41 yards rushing. Physicalness!
I've heard Hoke say that talk is meaningless once the game starts. Well, it applies to the coaches as well. We have a lot of platitudes with nothing to show for it. The line play on both sides has been mediocre for three years.
It was tied at kickoff. Fine, don't go jumping off a cliff, I got it. But we are in no logical way better off now than we were at 3:30.
^^^You're trying to stay positive aren't you?
need a big defensive play. State has lucked out so far on the fumble roll and bounces.
Throw some screens to help our line
Bullough smelled it out. If Gardner threw it he would have intercepted it.
Our O line sucks. Getting destroyed every play. It ends up that throwing bubble screens didn't fix the fact that we can't block.
How can you adjust to that?
This board is full of intolerable whiny nannies. Seriously, MSU is only up 7, there have been at least half a dozen fluke plays that went MSUs way, and We probably won't get the short end of the field position battle again.
Sack up and quit whining about coaches and players and just support the damn team.
Exactly. I am glad I never played on a team with guys like those. They're done, they're quitting, going to another team's blog to wallow in their own sorrow when their team is down 7 at the half. WTF? They're calling out OL out as soft. Gimme a break!
However, there is no way to sugarcoat the o-line at this point. They have just been getting pushed around for much of the year.
Cause the team is reading the blog at half?
LOL.....people are writing about what they see.....and they aren't coaches!
Has nothing to do with the team. It's about making this place tolerable on game days and representing the school with class.
Good luck. It's a bunch of emotional drunk fans. It is what it is.
No, you're writing like little whiners who cannot show an ounce of determination. MSU had 3-4 lucky ass plays that gave them the lead. They're the best defense in the nation and we knew it was going to he hard to move the ball, but we were...until the snap over the head. I suppose that was Borges' fault huh?
Just right on, man.
I won't be told how to be a fan. Venting and complaining is what sports message boards are for. Being a fan isn't all rah rah rah, nor is it constant educated analysis. Cheerleaders with their constant positive attitude regardless of the situation exist because of that unrealistically upbeat view of things. Whining is part of the fan job description. Get used to it.
Sparty's offense hasn't been anything to write home about. A couple lucky tips, they score a touchdown on a decent corner throw and that's the difference so far. Yes, they've been destroying our O-Line, but they've had the ball starting at the 50 all day and we're only down a touchdown.
Still going to watch the 2nd half and hope for the best. The coaches saw what we saw, hopefully they can change things up.
I'm still mad they emphasize running others but never do.
Fitz gonna Fitz.
So even on the small amount of plays there is a hole, he isn't trusting it. Easy to see how that could happen.

You guys need to fucking get a grip. We're down 7 at halftime. We still have a half to play to win this.
can't get pressure, can't block pressure.
Yet somehow still in the game.
Rather than try to be a hero & get the -20 sack or the INT he's been doing all year. It's obvious he's trying really hard to listen
Exactly. Need to work on the -20 sack thing though.
...the huge loss was on snapper. Rest of sacks, he didn't do the big loop for either -20, or breaks loose for TD or TD throw, or fumble or INT. That's the gamble, & coaches pounded him not to take that gamble against this D
Isn't he doing exaclty what we all prayed he would do? We're running the ball as little as possible while airing it out. #1 defense. MSU's superbowl. We all knew it was going to be this kind of game. We've shot ourselves in the foot a ton, but otherwise, we're doing about as well as I had hoped
Borges is goin' Borges
Borges' plan has been brilliant. How did you actually expect to do if you thought of our middle 3 of O line v their D? I thought we would get absolutely CRUSHED. Borges' plan has made almost perfectly most that could be made given that.
I generally agree, but the call on the 3rd down near the goal line was fucking atrocious
for me too!
Yeah I wasn't a fan of that one. We all knew that was coming before the ball was snapped
Borges is doing exactly what everyone asked him to do for this game.
Get Toussaint off the field, bring in another O-lineman and give Gardner time to tear that over-rated secondary to shreds. Throw the ball EVERYDOWN with max protection and I like Funchess and Gallon to eat. This will also open up some running lanes for Gardner.
I am staying positive, 100%. We're in this game, and MSU is totally lucky. I am saddened by the reactionary fans in here. C'mon guys, show some stones. Michigan is going to win this game!
man that Channing Tatum Stribling Jordan Lewis guy is kinda turrible
Holy cow this thread is depressing.
New mgoblog tagline: abandon all hope, ye who enter here
that is actually a really good idea.
My response, as always, to the incessant complainers and doomsday sayers:
