Isn't that States school paper? What do you want from them? Even Spartan fans who are happy with how they lost, fine. They were expecting to lose by 38. They lost by 9. How do you want them to react? Even if we don't surrender the last TD(s) it was a 13-20 point game. Still closer than they epic beatdown they thought they would get.

The asinine fans are the spartys who think they actually had a chance to win at any point during that game, or even worse, after a rewatch. Or even worse than that, MICHIGAN fans who thought we didn't win by enough.

I am pretty chill. That's why I don't understand the point of "Haha, your school paper wrote an article about a football game with a headline stating that you lost by way less than you should have!"

There are laughable moments (TOC saying we out-toughed em, and they admitted it!). Then there is no-news that people cling onto in order to fabricate a laugh. In these circumstances, I think it's best to not infect to board with dribble.

It's a bitch move to make fun of someone who you beat by 9 points when the spread was 24-1/2. Did we humilate them? No. So lets be the Big Brother. Nod our heads, take the win, and move on.

We have been on the moral loss train far too often in the past 10 years to judge a school paper for playing the same card. And I think the MSU players did show dignity. Didn't seem to me that there were excessive cheap shots in this game. And they didn't rollover and quit down 20 points. I'm all for bashing Sparty when they deserve it, or when we earn it. Neither one of those are the case with this game.

Indeed. In 2013, I predicted OSU to beat us by 42. We lost by 1. I still felt like utter shit afterwards. There was no sense of moral victory. The feeling was nothing but pain mixed with shit.

But hey, if MSU values their dignity, more power to them. I remember many years of classless actions and cheap shots on their part mixed with times where they planted their flag on opposing teams turf....then they would get in brawls when teams did the same thing back to them. So dignity is a relatively new thing for them. Kudos to them for finally getting it.

Deep down inside, D'Antoenail knows that he deserves to be 0-2 vs. Jim Harbaugh and is very fortunate to be able to claim a 1-1 record.  He won't show it publicly but he has to be experiencing some self doubt.  He has been out-coached 2 years in a row.

I think the lesson here might be to never write the article when you are only progressing through the bargaining stage of Kubler-Ross, although now that I think about it, an article written while only in denial would have perhaps been better - "State Looks To Rebound From Rough Bye Week" or something perhaps.

On the MGoBoard and was like oh no, OP is going to get slaughtered. I was pleasantly surprised to see this gem when the page popped up. What sad sacks of shit. I'm glad things are back to the way they used to be.

Imagine if in one of the years where we sucked under Hoke but played OSU close the Daily ran something like this. I think I'd lose my shit. What a bunch of losers lol
