MSU -11 vs PSU Vegas knows Cook is playing?

Submitted by RED DAWN on

LIne shot up from -1.5 open to -11.  Someone from Vegas attending MSU practice today?  Guess Vegas thinks Cook is playing?

Or they just came to the realization that Hackenberg will have 2 seconds to throw the ball behind whatever it is that those 5 players in front of him are doing.

That seems closer to reality. State's OL will be able to hold against their DL and State's DL will manhandle their OL. Unless they max protect everytime they go to the air I don't see Hackenberg having enough time to compete this week.

But I also thought State would beat Nebraska by 4 scores, so who really knows anymore.

When was this line ever at 1.5?  You're the second person I've seen suggest this, but everything I can find shows the line opened at 11.  Most books haven't even posted a line for this game yet.  Frankly, MSU -1.5 makes zero sense, and I'd be shocked if that line ever existed.

Hackenberg is the perfect QB to take advantage of MSU's weak secondary.  Too bad he will have -2.3 seconds to throw the ball.   The -1.5 line seemed insane, this one seems more correct regardless of who starts at QB for MSU.

Seriously.  Just put your long snapper in, stand 30 yards behind the LOS to buy time from the rush, and heave a pass as high and far as you can every snap.

Hope for PI or that MSU's DBs are their normal crappy selves.

You'll get picked off most of the time, but you're Penn State . . . you'd be punting anyway.

If two or three of these hit big, you could pull off the upset.

Is that they're not going to be dumb enough to think they can beat baby bro in the trenches (Franklin's dumbness notwithstanding).  They will follow the Nebraska model and arm punt all game.  should be good for a few scores.  I think their D is good to hold MSU's O to less than 20.  I think Green wins, but I'm not seeing this destruction everyone else seems to see.
