So who should be fired for putting drunk MSC out there in this condition?  Borges?  Whoever made that call to do this though should be held accountable.  IMO

Wow. I went to take a leak during half and when I got back my wife said whoever was just speaking was hammered.  Being hammered myself I really didnt understand what she was referring to until now.

Holy Shit that's freaking awesome.  Even the President of the University needs to get sauced up to watch this team play.  Now I dont feel quite so alone.

That pretty much sums up our season right there. What an embarrassment. Was she around when Moeller got canned? That's about when Michigan started to dive...

And it's too bad that this always gets trotted out when there's an alcohol-related incident. People who know Gary Moeller will tell you he was never more than an occasional social drinker. Never out of control, always mild-mannered. He had one bad night, someone taped it, it got blown up on TV, Michigan and Moeller's lawyers alike totally botched how it was handled... And forever, he's the coach with the drinking problem. He didn't hurt anyone, he didn't crash a car, he didn't destroy any property. He was just drunk.

Yes, he deserved to face the consequences for his actions, but it was a pretty badly handled situation at all levels from the president on down to the lawyers. And he doesn't deserve to be treated like a drunk for the rest of his life.

First off, BC, thanks for defending Moeller here.  The way he got branded after that night at Excalibur was shameful, and he deserves better from the Michigan fanbase.

Second, it's both a bit better and worse than what you state:  "He had one bad night, someone taped it, it got blown up on TV".

Moeller got screwed by the Southfield PD.  The infamous tape was made at Providence Hospital by the police.  An admitted MSU fan and police officer saw fit to release the tape to the press, and that's what triggered the Moeller dismissal.  As someone with experience working in the state of MI's courts at the time, there is no good reason to do this from a law enforcement perspective.  It was a shameful abuse of discretion, and cost Moeller dearly.  This is based on memory, but I recall it pretty clearly.

However, Moeller's actions at Excalibur were worse than being "just drunk", at least if police reports are to be believed.  Look HERE  for a complete description, but Moeller's behavior went well-beyond "just drunk".

For all of that, Gary Moeller loved Michigan with all his heart, had an awful night where he did not actually hurt anyone, and got thrown under the bus because of a press leak that never should of happened.  I was sorry to see him fired back then, and am happy to see him welcomed at games and other university functions as we move forward.

I hope she was just drunk and it is not a medical condition.  She's not exactly a spring chicken anymore.

Scary.   As someone else said it sounds like someone who had a mild stroke. It's like a female version of Dick Clark but with milder condition.   And if not that, then just a bad situation to hear your president drunk but I guess it's great symbolism for our current leadership.
