Wasn't he playing with the 1's @ LB during camp? He's non-existent this year - what's the story with that? Is it Obi?
yes plz
still be a great back up. But lets face it. Obi SHOULD be better. It shouldn't even be close.
I'm sure he works hard and does things right, but naming him the starter may have been a motivational ploy by the coaches. Ezeh certainly has been playing better this year.
Hail to the colors that float in the light-
Hurrah for the Yellow and Blue!
with mike jones out, all linebackers might need to shift around a little and moundros might get more PT. even though they don't play the same position.
On the other hand, what's the story with Ovaltine? The mug is round. The jar is round. They should call it Round-tine.
"I've got an idea--an idea so smart that my head would explode if I even began to know what I'm talking about." - Peter Griffin
Obi is playing much better then in recent seasons and earned his starting job back. Moundros will get a good amount of PT going forward. Always good to have depth.
Champions of the west, GO BLUE!
I saw him play against UConn, but not for that many snaps. I get the sense that his placement on the first team was more a motivational ploy for Ezeh than anything.
Kick coverage for sure...

Besides Denard I was most impressed with our linebacker play from Mouton and Ezeh, which I NEVER THOUGHT ID SAY.
Moundros obviously isn't as athletic as Obi and it was clear he was going to struggle with the spread attack offenses and having to move around the field too much. Obi typically struggled trying to shed blocks from fullbacks and wrap up tackles in the power-running game, which was a strength of Moundros during camp. So very possible we could see Moundros more against teams like MSU, Iowa, and Wisky on non-passing downs (like downs other than 3rd-and-super-long where you don't want a TE racing down the middle wide open).
I think Obi beat him out last week coming off the UConn game.
