Most/least improved stat predictions

Submitted by F5 on
So how about an actual football discussion as opposed to, um, jorts? What do you think will be our most improved stat once the upcoming football season comes to a conclusion?

Mine would be ( at least at the top of my wish list) is improving our interceptions give/take ratio. Last year we threw 18 picks and only managed to muster 5 picks of our own. I would like to see that number flipped obviously, but realistically, I think a 7:9 ratio would be a success.

Leat improved sadly I think is our RB yards. I think it will still be a committee in the backfield with no clear cut separation.

What is your stat predictions?

I agree with the turnover prediction but will go a different route.

How about time of possession? I think this team knows its strength is D and will gladly control the clock and not force the issue on offense. I think the two are undoubtedly related obviously.

UM was @ 31 minutes a game in TOP last year and that was top 40 in the country.  It will be difficult to improve on that substantially.  Maybe it goes to 33 minutes a game which would be top 20ish nationally.

It is an incorrect meme on this board that the defense was on the field so much last year.  They were not.  There were a lot of quick possession changes due to the offense losing the ball so much however.

At least for me, I feel like the defense was already in a good place for the most part so incremental improvements in sack rate, TFL, defensive YPP and other stats would be great but they weren't necessarily all that bad on the whole.

On offense, QB rating - which is driven by completions, attempts, INT rate, TDs and so forth - is an improvement that should drive a lot of other improvements, even perhaps rushing YPC to a small extent. That one by itself might be a key to working on other things.

I predict you will create 2 additional posts that submarine another OP thinking you're funny

I think you will have at least 30 less comments than referenced thread

I predict your next sexual encounter will last ten seconds longer, to 40 seconds total

Most improved: more sacks on DEF and less sacks on OFFENSE. Least improved: Receiving yards. I expect our running game to be better than passing game, with TEs being one bright spot.

For offense I think we rush for way more yards than people expect. I think the O-Line will gel this year. For defense I think we double the Int's we had last year. Decent pass rush with an amazing secondary.
