Most impressive 2018 highlight film?

Submitted by Magnus on

Awesome highlights don't automatically translate into college and NFL success (see: Sam McGuffie), but they sure can be fun to watch. What's the most impressive highlight film you have seen from players in the 2018 class?

My vote so far is for Seattle (WA) Garfield RB/WR/DB Treshaun Harrison. Michigan has offered him, and I've heard they're pursuing him hard, but it's hard to pull kids from Washington to Michigan.

Good tape. Reminds me more of Chris Evans Has some decent dance moves but  really having trouble telling if it is ball tackling or if he really has that much strength to have guys just fall off of him.

Seems around 4.5 with great quicks, which I suspect is around the time for Evans. Remember Denard ran 4.45 at the combine so I'm not saying that as a negative. Best thing I like about his is porbably his balance.

Will remember this name and be looking for him all summer.

EDIT:

Timeout!!! 247, ESPN and SCOUT list him at 6-2 190! Wow! I thought he might be around 6 foot 180. 247 also list a 4.35. I still feel good about 4.5 but I feel different about his strength.

IIRC Chris Evans' film wasn't this impressive. He didn't look this fast. I would give him a legit 4.4 at least.  This film is like a mix of college Chris Evans and Noel Devine's high school film.

Magnus mentioned that film doesn't always translate to success. McGuffie and Ty Isaac should have been obvious. They were just running through holes with no contact at all. I went for the fake.

Nice find. They have to get this guy. Please don't tell me they want to bring him in as a db? I think this tape looks better than P. Harvin's in high school.

That's good. I know it's great to have your best athlete and player on defense(Jabrill) but he could've been great at runningback. I'll stick to that until the day I die. Cant let these uber talented kids pass through and not fully utilize them. Jabrill was great on defense and play-making but when he went down, that exposed a group that obviously would've been better off in the long run not relying on his play-making. Not that they had anyone to fill his spot throughout the season that would've even came close to his talent. I just really hope the team doesn't need the guy who's best with the ball in his hands on defense in years to come.

Hmm. If we were to recruit any position at all for what is appearing to be a restricted and small class, why would we recruit another WR? Seeing someone as versatile as Harrison, even more so than 5* ATH BJ Foster, why not recruit him as a RB or even as the final piece of a two-deep at CB? He's 6'2 and is 210lbs according to ESPN, and looks every part of a well-rounded hyper-athlete APB. I guess I'll have to trust Jay and Papa Harbaugh on this one. But, yeah, seems like an absolute clone of Jabrill, at least as a potential punt returner, am I right?

I don't think it really matters. Wide receivers can often play other positions (CB, S, etc.). We'll probably lose a couple wide receivers before the 2018 class signs, whether to transfers, graduation, or position switches. So recruit him, see what happens, and then move him if he needs to move.

because everyone looks incredible on tape to me and I can't see the nuances that separate tape from a MAC level guy from an Alabama level guy most of the time. I just rely on people like you, Magnus, to tell me who I should be excited about. I am excited about this fellow now.
