It's great getting the attention, hell maybe he will end up doing ESPN promos (which would be great for Michigan), but I'd rather see a little less for now. Coach has made great progress, and deserves the love. HOWEVA I hope we keep a little lower profile until we beat OSU and/or crack the Top 10. Tate and Rich seem to be dominating the CFB news cycle. It will probably change after Saturday as Lane Kiffin will be mocked and pummeled.

When is PTI? I used to watch it but with the course load every night, I've been entirely disconnected from watching ESPN. Which sucks because now they actually say things ranging from decent to nice about us...

yea i'll take what i can get...but then helen thomas looked at me with those big brown eyes, and said, 'YOU AIN'T SEEN NOTHING YET!' Like a zombie rising from the grave, The Grand Old Lady of the White House Press Corp declared, "B-b-baby, you ain't seen na-na-na-nothing yet. You ain't been around..."

Remember that the season isn't over yet. Did they practice today?? RR has been in on every national tv radio or print article or show since I woke up I can't get away from the guy. Let's start a new game...call the interview. Korn-Looks like you got yourself a QB?? RR- We got 2 qb's...Tate's goofy Korn- Are you a contender for the big ten?? RR- Were worried about Eastern Korn-Wilbon hates Michigan are you going to kill Northwestern this year?? RR- We don't play Northwestern this year. Korn- Let me get you out of here on this one. How many hours did you spend on ND last week?? RR- Ah funny.... none... we just went to class and showed up for the game. Korn-Thanks coach

This is a good point. I doubt that RR is required to do all of these interviews and I'm sure he'd rather be working on making the team better. But it makes sense that he's trying to boost the national image of Michigan and hopefully this bodes well for future recruiting.

I'm kind of glad Michigan plays Eastern Michigan this Saturday so at least some of the attention will be turned elsewhere (come on Lane Kiffin, please say something). It's great to be getting positive attention--and about actual on-field football stuff no less--but I don't want stories of Michigan's resurrection to oversaturate college football reporting or have people developing a case of Tate-lash. Yay, we're not as inept as last year. Yay, the stadiums louder. Yay, we've got moxie. I love it and am enjoying it but surely don't want ESPN to screw it up for us or the team (USC, 2005 anyone?).

I agree 100%. The more "hype" ESPN loads on us now, will only make a loss that much worse, when it all comes back as "The joy ride is over". Lets just stay focused, take care of EMU, rinse and repeat. I am really afraid of the EMU coming in and popping the bubble sending us into the mess that was last year.
