Between club soccer winning a couple championships in a row before going varsity and the expected move to varsity in lax. Go Blue! Beat Akron on Friday.

If you're talking about the Club National Championship in '05, it is entirely unrelated to the varsity team, as club didn't move up to varsity since then. If you're talking about some Club wins more than 11 years ago, well, your Michigan club soccer history is way better than mine.

Don't expect ESPN2 to show the first half hour of the game, though.  They are showing New Hampshire at Delaware football (FCS Quarterfinal) at 8:00 pm EST, so the 11:00 pm soccer game will probably be joined in progress around 11:30 or so.

Of course, if the North Carolina-Louisville soccer game goes into overtime, the game won't start until 11:30 anyway.  Either way, ESPNU should have the whole thing, but only ESPN2 will have it in HD.

Didn't know Burns was so involved in the transition from club to varsity. I'd have to imagine his opinions and guidance will be crucial in helping the AD decide on and potentially make the transition with Lacrosse.

Good to see the soccer program starting to get some respect, it looks like its headed in a great direction, especially with Saad being a freshman and leading the nation in scoring
