Facepalm for you, sir!

would be proud.

because I laughed. This is a lose lose topic.

I'm all for internet snark, but laughing at a blind college student band member because she looks a little funny on TV is too much, even for a cynical New Yorker.

gave me a fever!

Her performance leaves much to be desired lol

May lightning strike me down. I read the edit and knew fully the situation and still cracked a grin. Maybe I was thinking what it would have been like had I not known.

ok I am prepared for the Negs that will follow
Boise State...I just can't figure out what she sees in that school.
also
In the land of the blind...the girl with the Cowbell is queen.
oh and before I forget
Remember there is no "I" in Cowbell Player.

...side benefits is that she does not have to see those dancers. I am grateful I have 20/20, but wish I hadn't seen them. Also, how ironic (or maybe intentional?) that they show the dancers and the very next shot is of the cowbell. Way to go, Fox.

the TCU cheer squad had some serious talent.

Posting Taco Bell's Denise ad to the youtubes would probably absolve you.

It's not like people are mocking her for being blind... they're mocking her for making a stupid face. Are you telling me she has no idea how to smile?
"Haha, you're an idiot for being blind!" is different than "Haha, you're an idiot for playing a cowbell at halftime of a bowl game looking like you'd rather be cleaning toilets at 7-11."
Being blind isn't a get out of jail free card for everything you do.
January 5th, 2010 at 4:38 PM ^
I'm sure she knows how to smile, but it's possible that - being blind and all - she didn't know that the camera was on her.
January 5th, 2010 at 12:32 PM ^
Wouldn't it be easier to give her a hand held cowbell, instead of making her swing the stick and hope she hits it every time?
January 5th, 2010 at 1:45 PM ^
She's blind, not deaf. If she doesn't hit it, she can probably figure out the quick adjustment and get back at it.
(it's not like she's never done this before and doesn't carry a walking cane to get around places)
January 5th, 2010 at 12:43 PM ^
Look on the bright side. At least she'll never have a fever.
January 5th, 2010 at 2:39 PM ^
I feel dirty for thinking this is really funny.
January 5th, 2010 at 1:36 PM ^
We can say whatever we want about her, because she'll never see this.

Compared to Corso attempting to shake hands with the blind kid on gameday. That was an absolute classic. Corso with the duck head on for Oregon holding his hand out to shake hands and the kid staring into space. I think ESPN is hoping Corso does the right thing and steps down, he was a disaster this year. Fowler was scrambling to get that out of the way.

You forgot the best part! He gives Herbie a shake to save face

Fantastic... I now will be sharing a cell with Charles Manson and Stalin for just seeing this thread.
January 5th, 2010 at 4:22 PM ^
I saw that I laughed, oh well, it's funny. I laughed when I had no idea she was blind and a still chuckled now that I know.

"That is the most uninterested musician of all time."
