The conversation right now is pretty funny.
"My mom sent me a hilarious text!"
"Could Clay go the the NFL? Doesn't matter... they'll get someone else."

One guy was talking about having a buckeye tree in his yard

One thing to take from this: RR is much more frustrated than any of us are about this.

no kidding. he seems worn down. you can tell he doesn't want to talk about it because he's embarrassed/frustrated

Brandon Smith is a safety right now? Rod said they want him to play linebacker, but he's "stuck in between positions". Interesting.

he seems like he would fill in well for stevie brown. he's a tweener size and quick. good special teamer.

If Smith keeps flip-flopping between positions, he's never going to see the field. He was a safety, then he was a WILL, and now he's a safety again? Yikes.
He could be an okay free safety in this defense, but I wouldn't want to see him back deep very often.

RR rolled out his "team isn't good enough" line again. I guess it's just me, but this bugs me.
Just sayin.'
November 9th, 2009 at 12:01 PM ^
Why? Do you think they are good enough?
November 9th, 2009 at 12:17 PM ^
first base thinks this statement shows a lack of class and/or character in Rich Rod and by stating facts it might negativity affect recruiting or in-game play.
Basically, first base is a loon.

they aren't good enough!
November 9th, 2009 at 12:05 PM ^
isn't good enough to win when they play bad. does it suck that the coach is being brutally honest? yes! what would you like him to say instead???
November 9th, 2009 at 12:08 PM ^
Jebus, you started a thread about this already and have posted it in others. We get it, you don't like it. Thanks, now move on.

It's not wrong of FIrstbase to point out that RR used that phrase again, it wrong for people to confront him in this thread demanding his reasoning, when, like you said, he gave his reasoning numerous times before.
It makes sense for him to point out a new use of the controversial phrase, not for people to attack him as if he is first announcing his displeasure with it.

If my coach told us "we were not good enough to make mistakes and win." I would be pissed off.....at myself and my teammates. The coach's job is to motivate and teach. Sometimes the truth is the best way to coach.
