Molk playing tonight
For those with NFL network and bored enough to watch preseaon Thursday night football, David Molk is getting some playing time tonight for the Eagles. Always happy to cheer for former Michigan players on the Eagles and glad to see he is once again teammates with BG.

Redzone is on charter??

For those without the Eagles roster nearby, Molk is #63.
As a general observation, the Eagles' offensive line is looking pretty good right now, getting to the second level and disrupting the Steelers' LBs a bit on several plays. If they didn't just get slapped with an illegal formation call just now, this would be a 37-7 game perhaps with the PAT pending as I type.

Love Molk, hate the Eagles... go Giants

thinking it's almost time for that 3 months of TV. None during most of the year, but with college football season pending i'm guessing next week i'll call the satellite company and tell them to turn it on for 3 months. only for football, but it's just about that time of year...

That's why you're my favorite poster, quiverfull. Life on the farm sounds nice.

mgoviking, thank you. it is berry harvest season now. after coaching football for the 2 oldest boys tonight, i took 3 of the other children to harvest blackberries and raspberries before barn chores.
and thad, if michigan b-ball is on b-4 the end of college football we'd watch a little bit. also, though we live so far out in the boonies there is no cable, we are able to pull in one channel on the t.v. and a couple of years ago that was the one that showed michigan's run to the finals, so we did watch that game. this year we found the ncaa's on the computer, which is a lot harder than you think b/c most services will provide a download after you log in with your pre-existing cable company....something we don't have.
as a generalization we are too busy to watch t.v. anyway. we read and sing at the dinner table, oldest daughter will play piano too, very , very pleasant.

No thimbleberries?
And do you have a bog area nearby for huckleberries?
August 22nd, 2014 at 5:54 AM ^
and no bog, but the back 40 has an area that gets pretty mucky/swampy when we have signif rain, and that is where my favorite tree stand is for bow hunting. for those who bow hunt, we are down to.....39 days until the opener. almost as good as college football season and if successful, you can eat your 'victory'!
below is a pic of blackberries, the kind you can eat, not the computer kind...

I'm on a bit of a tape delay, but Molk looks fantastic. Showing good quickness on the 3 man pulling play thing to spring two good runs, and also some strength to ride LBs way out of the play on a couple other plays.

He was well coached.

to that statement. all the heebie-jeebies and worries of the day go right out of you with a good full pads clash, even in a practice.

If you care to share, what position did you play?
August 22nd, 2014 at 2:56 PM ^
for all but one year (linebacker) right after high school. i was blessed in that i got to play for some very forward thinking OC's, and i got the ball alot. we even ran a tight end trap on occasion. i moved to H-back in some sets too.

One of the greatest quotes by a Michigan player in history. Give me a team full of guys with that attitude and it would be fun to watch.

As an eagles fan I very much hope he makes the team. Absolute perfect fit for an up-tempo zone blocking scheme.

Since the coaching change moved him to linebacker, I'd read that it's been an adjustment and even talk about him sticking with the team.
Those of us from afar can only check the postgame stats to see how he's doing: Not a starter, but he had a highlight sack last week, and this week another sack along with a forced fumble. Any local/inside news on one of our favorite players?

Brandon is arguably the Eagles best pass rusher. But thats about it. He's slimmed down some according to reports, but he still looks very lost in space and pass coverage. I'd really hate to see him cut/traded, but he's in a defensive scheme now that thrives on versatility and players being able perform multiple task. With him being basically one-dimensional, its hard to see him sticking around much longer. There hasn't been much news about him lately though.
