Moderator Action Sticky

Submitted by Zone Left on

Brian has requested that instead of deleting each individual comment in the Moderator Action Sticky, that we instead just create a new thread. It takes hours of less time, preserves the comments for future explanations, and just clears things up faster.

You'll notice that the previous thread is now locked, and will slowly fade back into darkness. For the time being, the link from the Useful Stuff menu will point to the wrong location. We're working on a fix for that.

This thread is an ad-hoc way of tracking what threads and comments get removed. Mods that remove a thread should post the title here with a brief reason as to why the thread is gone.

NOTE: if you leave an irrelevant comment in this thread it will be deleted.

maxwell vs. bellamy

Dumb thread idea, made exponentially worse by the fact that you didn't make a single comment other than to ask for people's comments on your barely extant premise.

Also, it's BELLOMY

FWIW, the post in which "she" originally exposed herself was from the perspective of a Michigan fan so either it was actually a Buckeye troll that also has an account posing as a Michigan fan or "she" is an alt account for a regular user here that tried to save face by claiming to be a Buckeye troll.

Edit: Wolverine Devotee documented the original comment here: http://mgoblog.com/mgoboard/denard-appreciation-thread#comment-1771045

They'll be up when they're up.  Interestingly, it appears that all threads are now open season for debating Bellomy vs. Gardner vs. Borges vs. New OC vs. Denard's injury.

Posted pictures of Denard has a sad and used this as his sole evidence for denigrating Denard's leadership and character.

Penalty box for a month for trying to use this site to give the world a case example for how arrogant and dickish a Michigan fan can be. Penalty would normally be an insta-ban but this was a longtime user with a good record and connections to good people we know who seems to have made just one terrible lapse in judgment. Goes on permanent record--next time it's a ban.

devolving into a debate about the morality of hunting, with quite a bit of vitriol, I might add. http://mgoblog.com/mgoboard/ot-insignificant-things-open-thread-no-politics

http://mgoblog.com/users/theghostofyost This guy, who I've always thought of as a relatively innocuous poster, is getting pretty infuriated, resolving himself to using ad hominem attacks. He also made the Obama post in this thinly veiled political thread http://mgoblog.com/mgoboard/double-years.

Not to tattle, but it's getting pretty ridiculous.

Might I suggest Martavious Odom's "thank you" post get bumped to the front page?  Pretty cool stuff from an ex-player and seems pretty front page worthy to me.

Lame duck though he may be, let's enjoy Denard now and save misleading announcements about Gardner cloaked as Election Day fervor for never.

Pretty lame move to lock that thread in my opinion. The guy posted a decently thought out post. There are legitimate reasons to consider Gardner a better qb and all locking the thread does is close off discussion. This site has a reputation for group think and this just backs it up.

But the thing is, that exact thread has existed many, many times. This one added literally nothing to that debate. He may as wekk just have said, "Devin vs. Denard: CONTINUE THE INTERNET WARS." It was a thread for the sake of a thread, and one that the OP KNOWS will cause a shitstorm. This particuar OP has caused problems in the past, and I didn't feel the need to indulge him.

I left it up to see if people agreed with me. They did.

Y U no read front page?  In the future, you can assume that every transcript of every player/coach will be memorialized on the front pages of this here blog, especially those from post-game head coach pressers.  (Did I really need to write this?)

Not cool: Announcing you got into CRNA school and suggesting everybody go drink.

Cool: Getting your first job after CRNA school and buying all of us drinks. We're standing by.

The Force should only ever be used for knowledge and defence, never attack. A Jedi who uses the Force for his personal gain is slowly leaning towards the Dark Side. Using the Force when it is not needed to be used,  or to gain wealth or fame - these lead to the Dark Side. Jedi seek to serve and protect, not to rule and terrorise.
