Moderator Action Sticky

Submitted by Zone Left on

Brian has requested that instead of deleting each individual comment in the Moderator Action Sticky, that we instead just create a new thread. It takes hours of less time, preserves the comments for future explanations, and just clears things up faster.

You'll notice that the previous thread is now locked, and will slowly fade back into darkness. For the time being, the link from the Useful Stuff menu will point to the wrong location. We're working on a fix for that.

This thread is an ad-hoc way of tracking what threads and comments get removed. Mods that remove a thread should post the title here with a brief reason as to why the thread is gone.

NOTE: if you leave an irrelevant comment in this thread it will be deleted.

If lions win today they clinch

I don't think that's true. But even if it is, it belongs in the other Lions thread. But, again, still don't believe it's true.

Thanks for being apologetic about it before posting. The news is tangentally related to Michigan since Lewan and Roh's coach is involved but the "RR is learning" tack (actually he's aping Dantonio) is not appreciated.

This is Capone. You don't have Capone.

Plus I'm going to be vicious against anything that hastens the inevitable bumping down of the ESPN Sports Science Link.

Braylon Does Something Good

The witness is aware. The Court is aware. And now the Court Members are aware. We thank you for bringing this to our attention.

Meyer:  RR Redux?

Random regurgitation of RR myths? Check. Speculation about Urban Meyer sucking? Check.  lack of any new information? Check.

Deleted for two reasons:  First, it was a stupid thread - if you're going to post a "I'm drunk" thread at least make it somewhat creative or entertaining.  Second, I'm not able to be in New Orleans and the thread and OP made me feel left out.   :-(

This GIF is all over this Board already and didn't deserve its own thread.  Plus, Mrs. Kass would probably not approve (I subscribe to the WWMrs.KD philosophy), although, I admit that I do love embiggened bounciness . . .

Hardaway, Jr.

Questioning an athlete's intelligence (basketball intelligence or otherwise) is a recipe for getting a thread pulled. This is especially true for a kid who grew up in NBA locker rooms.  The fact that the OP refused to change the thread title to something non-sucky didn't help.

I Think Of Brunettes Too!

Left it up for a while, but I figure now that the work day has started, I should probably unpublish it.  I may put it back up after the work day if I think of it.

No evidence of any police wrongdoing, and a bunch of commenters sharing their gripes with AA's "finest" -- I put that in quotes because I have my own stories.

Hippocrates is spelled wrong. And you shouldn't blame him for Posey getting invited to the senior bowl -- there's no way when he invented Western medicine in the 5th century B.C. he could have foreseen the world he would be creating would have an Ohio State in it.

However if he means the Hippocrates who was the father of the tyrant Peisistratos, then I'm with him: if the Oracle says your child is going to be a dick, you LISTEN!

Thread could have been fun but OP was beligerent and ruined the whole thing.  It was more of an "F- everyone" thread than a "celebrate Lloyd Brady" thread, thereby making the OP's story and uncool one . . . wait for it . . . Bro.

Scout's final 300

Posted twice. Now, you may be saying, "but this one was posted first." And you're right, but for whatever reason people responded to the second one. Two lessons: (1) Informative thread titles are the punch and pie of posts, and (2) life is unfair.

Per Brian's direction, no Rodriguez posts unless (and I'm paraphrasing) they directly relate to the current status of Michigan football or are thought-provoking historical analysis.  This one was neither and no good could or did come from it.

BISB precedent dictates that I must keep the second thread on this topic rather than the first due to the superior title and higher number of posts in response.

This was going about the same direction the Ann Arbor.com article's responses were going, which was a bad way to be going, as going goes.
