something even the Lions will no do. I highly doubt DW even goes in the first 2 rounds. BG isn't going to the colts with money locked with Freeney and the new contract they are writing up for Peyton as we speak. I am hoping the massive refurb going on in Patsland involves BG.Knowing my luck, it probably won't, but I can dream until April.

If BG slips to 32, that might be the steal of the draft. I kinda want the Lions to trade down and get more picks.. especially if we're going to try and draft D-line not named Suh.

What you have to keep in mind is that the best players don't necessarily go first. The players that get picked are the best players that fill positions of need for the team. I find it very hard to believe that no one will want a DE that could potentially start his rookie season at DE before the Colts get a crack at him.

It sounds crazy to take DW before the Graham-Beast having watched him devour linemen, RBs, and QBs all season, but this isn't college recruiting where so much is made of just getting the best people you can get. As joeyb said, NFL drafting is much more about filling needs (though you can certainly argue for that in college too or when ranking college classes). Still, even if I needed 4 corners I would still want to take Graham because he is just ridiculous.

First round Thursday night, then 2nd and 3rd on Friday with the rest finishing up on Saturday. Speculation says there will be a lot more trades with the long gaps in between rounds. As far as where Warren and BG go in the draft there's talk of Warren to Green Bay but I think BG goes early 20's. The Colts, I believe, should draft a QB and have him study behind Peyton for the next couple years (a la Aaron Rogers).

I hate the new format. I liked having the house to myself, watching the draft all day long on Saturday and most of the Sunday. I'm pretty sure that any wife/girlfriends are going to hate the new format. lol Regarding the new format as a businessman, it makes sense and works better because you'd get more people watching the draft on Thursday night, Friday afternoon/evenings and Saturday. Higher TV ratings = more revenues. I do think that there will be more trade activities because teams will have time to reflect and look at their draft board to see who's available. They can get on the phone at an almost unlimited time instead of 10 minutes clock that teams get from picking in the 2nd round.
