Mo Wagner Has Arrived on Campus
If you see a 6-foot-10 guy roaming State Street looking for a good place to get some wienerschnitzel, you'll understand. The Big Deutschmark arrived in town today:

Herr Wagner!
I can only imagine the answers he would get walking around town looking for weiner schnitzels...
Phew. At least this clears up any fears about him not being enrolled yet in the umich directory.
Sounds like we need a weiner schnitzel SuperGuide...
Well, here's Michigan...mo or less.
Thank goodness! A recruit from Germany finally made it to campus!!!

He's a big Harry Potter fan?
the first rule of Beerfest is not to talk about Beerfest! Yodalayheehoo
No mo Bo so go Mo.
I really didn't think that would ever be cool again. Sha Zaam
I'll admit I don't really get the fascination with making sure and then celebrating athletes getting to campus once they've signed. It's kind of like obsessively monitoring and then celebrating that the package you ordered actually came in.

it's like if fed ex was delivering a shipment to UPS through amazon, but UPS doesn't like amazon.
My ostrich pillow just arrived from China and it was 4 weeks early. I almost peed.

Wait. A pillow shaped like an ostrich? Made with ostrich hide? Filled with ostrich feathers? Some sort of combination?
It's a pillow for his ostrich.

His birthday is coming up! Ebay? Which seller?
Michigan fans, like most fans are pessimists --- and until we get confirmation that he/she has boots on the ground in Ann Arbor, we're not satisfied. It's really not that far fetched of a concept to be honest.

It was confirmed a few weeks back, but I think the international factor and other various hurdles associated with that tend to make people worry.
never got cleared by the NCAA and stayed home. Wagner had not yet passed the test for foreign students when he signed either. He also had pro options at home, similar to some of our hockey recruits. This was definitely good news for the worrywarts among us.
Kick ass and take names!!!
Sorry about I-94, it has nothing on the Autobahn.
Almost as excited for MBB as I am for the football season
Need to work on that....He was a baby when that form of currency disappeared!
It's still more classy than "Euro"

Well, historical problems aside, I love the nickname because he's big, he's from Deutschland, and he's going to make his "mark" here. So that's what I'm going with.
I'll be wearing my "Big Deutschmark" shirt at next year's Final Four.
Frankenmuth is an hour and a half north. . .
Nothing says home like thousands of tourists waiting in line for buffet style chicken dinners. /s (sorry little Bavaria)
And the largest Christmas store in the U.S.
Come on down Mo from some polkas and food.
Go Germany!! Beat Greece!
No, wait . . .
He can find some German food in Frankenmuth.
here in the Muth, unfortunately. It's also overpriced. But we do have Hofbrau on tap, which is awesome. Poor Moritz went from being able to drink to now not being allowed to. That's the saddest damn thing.
Yay new recruit! Boo Freep link
The NCAA, which governs college athletics, has strict limits on how much time coaches can require players to spend on their sport. But Rodriguez’s team has routinely broken the rules since he took over in January 2008, people inside the program told the Free Press.
Numerous players on the 2008 and 2009 teams said the program far exceeded limits intended to protect athletes from coaching excesses and to ensure fair competition.
“The University is satisfied that the initial media reports were greatly exaggerated if not flatly incorrect… While the University takes the violations very seriously, the actual violations are a far cry from the initial claims in the media,” read Michigan’s statement.
all the extra practice should have translated to a win or two more on the field. Rip off. At least frickin GET some benefit from your violations! Amirite???!!!
That's why I'm such an admirer of Ole Miss. They get their money's worth.
in Michigan, Mo! Zerstöre sparty.
he'll be having gyros for lunch
So is it Moritz Vog-ner? Mo Wagner sounds so... not German, lol.
It was like when I was listening to classical music radio late one night many many many moons ago and the person said "Richard Wagner" in the American way, as opposed to Rick-hard Vog-ner.
genau.
I'd be really, really disappointed if it's not Vog-ner.
