So many SF fans there.

Most of that red in the crowd is a Cardinals thing I think.
October 13th, 2014 at 10:52 PM ^
I've seen the Cards and the Blues but have never seen a Rams game and went down a couple weeks ago and saw STL and Dallas.
They couldn't even sell out the place for Dallas. And Dallas probably had 30% of the crowd atleast.
If I had to guess I would say STL will be on the move to LA soon
October 13th, 2014 at 8:31 PM ^
I see what you're doing here.
October 13th, 2014 at 8:33 PM ^
The Rams beat the 49ers. My teams won Saturday and Sunday (which is very rare), so I'm going to just watch and be happy.
October 13th, 2014 at 8:33 PM ^
but I Love the old Rams uniforms.
October 13th, 2014 at 8:34 PM ^
You are totally right to so many on this blog are rooting against Harbaugh. If I am being totally honest, I am in that camp. Hey, you never know.
October 13th, 2014 at 8:35 PM ^
Even though the Rams haven't been good in a long while they always play the 49ers tough.
October 13th, 2014 at 8:35 PM ^
Rams old jerseys are so awesome. 8Love Harbaugh, so go Rams.

Ram's uniforms, too---those are like the ones they wore when I was a kid.
Back then, I was as much a fan of the Rams as I was of the Lions, plus my favorite QB, Roman Gabriel, was a Ram. And although it's a completely different shade of blue, one of the reasons I liked those Rams of the 60's so much was that their uniforms somewhat reminded me of Michigan's, even though I believe the Rams wore home whites most of the time during that period, only breaking out their blue jerseys occasionally on the road when playing against another team (such as Dallas) that used home whites. The yellow pants, I believe, weren't used until the 70's. Here's a picture of Gabriel:
Anyway, besides rooting for the Rams for that reason, a loss by the 49'ers might help our chances at Harbaugh.
BTW, don't forget to root for Chuckie to say something that gets him fired and considering going back to coaching---remember, back in HS, one of his stated goals was to someday be Michigan's Head Coach.
October 13th, 2014 at 8:41 PM ^
I could care less about this game for the "Harbaugh factor" and more just because it is a football game on a weekday I can enjoy after a rough work day.
I'll root for the Niners, though.
October 13th, 2014 at 9:25 PM ^
How much less could you care?
October 13th, 2014 at 9:29 PM ^
why don't you care less?
October 13th, 2014 at 8:42 PM ^
Austin Davis... Need 37 fantasy points from him... I know it was a long shot, but Drew Brees had a bye, and Tannehill had been looking like shit.
October 13th, 2014 at 8:45 PM ^
I'm rooting for the Rams to score 35 and gain like 400 yards.
October 13th, 2014 at 8:53 PM ^
I've never understood why teams modernize their uniforms from great to objectively way less great
October 13th, 2014 at 8:54 PM ^
Never understood the logic behind this. "Hey, let's root for this guy to prove himself to be a bad football coach... and then let's hire him to be our football coach!"
October 13th, 2014 at 9:24 PM ^
Except we know he's a good college coach. We're hoping he realizes his style doesn't work in the NFL and he decides to come save us.
October 13th, 2014 at 10:05 PM ^
You realize Saban and Spurrier failed miserably at the pros and remained great college coaches, right?
October 13th, 2014 at 11:09 PM ^
Carrol, too. Wait. Oh yeah, succeeded, failed, succeeded.
October 13th, 2014 at 8:58 PM ^
Hope he wins out, gets his owl, and comes home for a new challenge.
Jed York is a dildo. I can't see him taking orders from the NFL's newest member of the lucky sperm club.
October 13th, 2014 at 9:00 PM ^
Rams.
October 13th, 2014 at 9:09 PM ^
Niners. If I thought it'd help Michigan for the Niners to lose, I'd pull for the Rams. But Harbaugh's future in San Francisco has more to do with front office than results on the field.
October 13th, 2014 at 9:33 PM ^
maybe the OP forgot about the 3 straight AFC championships
October 13th, 2014 at 9:39 PM ^
Who won 3 straight AFC Championships?
October 13th, 2014 at 9:48 PM ^
Sure, I'll clarify for you.
Championship games.
October 13th, 2014 at 11:03 PM ^
I'm not sure I understand what the Ravens, Patriots, and Broncos have to do with anything.
October 14th, 2014 at 9:25 AM ^
Sorry. NFC Championships.
October 13th, 2014 at 9:12 PM ^
Got to root against SF in this one since the Rams are in last place in the NFC West.
October 13th, 2014 at 9:14 PM ^
Saint Louis - with a bad record, San Fran is less likely to want Harbaugh back.

Harbaugh to lose every game. Miss the playoffs. Next available flight to A2.
October 13th, 2014 at 9:27 PM ^
I have a policy to never root for teams from California when there is no vested interest to do otherwise.
But what I will say about Harbaugh not coming to Michigan is that speculation has been swirling for weeks and he hasn't made any comment at all. At least his brother has said something to the press about his support for Brady Hoke. Couple that with tabling any contract talks until the end of the season (Just like Scherzer for the Tigers), why can't we speculate? Or hope?
October 13th, 2014 at 9:32 PM ^
I want him to win and I would be happy to have him come coach Michigan next fall. Im pretty sure nobody on this board knows what his plans are.
October 13th, 2014 at 9:51 PM ^
I know what his plans are but I've been sworn to secrecy.

October 13th, 2014 at 9:34 PM ^
It doesn't matter. Harbaugh is not coming here either way.

Awww man. That stinks.

I mean seriously who would ever think he would even consider it right? His Dad and Bo were great friends. Bo was probably his biggest hero. He grew up around Michigan football as a kid. He was a hero as a QB at Michigan. He has had great success at quick turn arounds at big time programs in college. He has had success in the pros. He could win in college with a skill level advantage with the players of his choosing. He could take a program that is under performing and has good talent in league that would not put up much resistance. He could negotiate his own terms. Why the fuck would anybody ever think there is a chance he would even give it a look?
October 13th, 2014 at 9:51 PM ^
That ship sailed a long time ago. Especially with Dave Brandon being a dead man walking, there is no chance we are going to bring in an AD with the cache to make it happen. DB was probably the only person who could make a "Harbaugh to Michigan" deal happen........
October 13th, 2014 at 10:44 PM ^
I thought Harbaugh hated DB?

October 13th, 2014 at 10:49 PM ^
DB would lkely have to go to get him.
October 13th, 2014 at 11:12 PM ^
Actually from what I've heard the reason why harbaugh to Michigan never happened was that Brandon is too controlling in the program. Get rid of Brandon and we may have a chance
October 13th, 2014 at 9:46 PM ^
Wow. That's some of the worst NFL defense I've ever seen to end the half.
October 13th, 2014 at 9:47 PM ^
So, has belittling the people who want Harbaugh to be Michigan's coach become, like, the hipster activity of this board?
"Dude, I so wanted Harbaugh to come here in 2010, but it would be so lame now."
October 13th, 2014 at 9:55 PM ^
Nah, I mean it actually would be great if he became our coach. However, you get all of these idiots saying, "Fire Hoke because Harbaugh is coming!", as if it's some type of foregone conclusion. This type of thinking has screwed us the last two coaching searches.
October 13th, 2014 at 10:03 PM ^
Of course not. Belitting people who actually think he's coming here has become hipster, which is fair, considering he's not coming here.
October 13th, 2014 at 9:48 PM ^
Does Jimmy purposely not wear red? Just about everyone on the sideline wears red but him...
