My memory of his exact words that night is hazy, but I'd be surprised if he didn't mention that. However, I do know a good deal of his speech had to with the war in Vietnam, which he had become a vocal critic of.

Imagine how different the racial narrative would feel had this man no been assassinated. Maybe I am naive in thinking that, but damn, he had the gravitas, intelligence, and passion that all too few leaders have.
