Its gonna be a bloodbath
You know, Mitch McGary is making over a million dollars a year. He could hire somebody to come by now and then to feed his snake if he doesn't have time.
Also, as someone who has kept cats, dogs, reptiles, amphibians, fish, and arachnids, the time involved with caring for a reptile is much lower than that of a dog.
You don't have to feed snakes live animals. In fact, it's better not to.
Those 3 were sold so Mitch bought the other 1.
As I understand it, you're not supposed to feed boas live prey anyhow. You buy a pack of frozen mice, you thaw one out when you need it, and feed it that. Doesn't sound much harder than giving the dog his kibble.
And I really don't get where you say that having a pet that requires some care is "not mature". And then you say get a dog. If he's travelling for 3/4ths of the year and doesn't have time to walk the dog every day, wouldn't that be just as bad? If he hires a dog sitter to do that, would that be "not mature"?
Alright Cali Wolverine, your definition of maturity should be the only one that counts. You should write an official book on what should and shouldn't be considered mature due to your years and years of meticulous study of maturity. You are obviously the most qualified to determine such matters.
But this has got to be the dumbest argument I have ever heard in my entire life. Mitch is "immature" for getting pet snakes? Are you a Bucknut fucking with all of us or are you being for real? I honestly can't tell.

If you'll note the post, it was about the birth of a new nickname for a Michigan fan favorite, which I thought was funny. Not the fact that he got snakes.
