I think you've got that one backwards.
So you're saying that Izzo is an irresistible force and Mitch is highly movable? OK then.
I never see him leave the court.
if he just gives us rebounding, defense, and 5 extra big-man fouls for 10-15 minutes a game that would be HUGE. Our reboudning is still pretty iffy. Obviously you don't put him out there if he isn't pretty healthy, and his endurance will suck. But a basketball game can be won or lost in a matter of moments. If McGary can give you a 4-point swing at a key point, wouldn't you want him out there?
I hope he doesn't rush the recovery. If he's 100% ready then go for it, otherwise I say don't risk it.
If be ok with him getting 6-8 mins in regional final or beyond game. Especially if we run into cuse again.
Addition merely make the opponents have to gameplan for a factor both semi-unknown and undeniably reputable. Plus, he makes great passes and could be a boon for both O and D (rebounding, at least) in crucial spurts.
Michigan becomes the in-the-know favorite to win it all, imo. Except maybe for the Shockers.
If we were to face a Florida or Cincinnati type outfit, Mitch would be a huge asset to have (literally). For the most part we can manage with what we have, a couple good post-men with a good amount of experience. Mitch gives us a talent and body we otherwise don't have, one that would be very necessary to battle a few teams out there that could give us fits down low.
He's the perfect player to come off the bench in a limited role and give us a few minutes and some energy.
We're going to need every bullet in the chamber if we're going to be serious about making a run.
It's not like he can take a medical redshirt. May as well play if you're healthy.
