Mitch McGary looking "downright svelte" at Nike Big Man Academy
We likely all remember that McGary's success in the tournament apparently had something to do with him losing weight. Dylan over at UMoops noted the other day that he was listed at 266 lbs at the Nike Academy and worried that he'd added his old, bad weight back. It turns out that isn't true. Someone watching the camp tweetered that he looks "downright svelte," and the big fella sent out a pic of himself with Anthony Davis (I can't get the thing to embed) in which he looks pretty fit. It seems like things continue to be on the upswing with our favorite unicycle-riding big man.

Isnt McGary older than Anthony Davis? Seems like a weird camp to go to. I'd think Mitch could learn a lot more from a guy who's actually played basketball for longer than he has and who's been in the pros longer than a year.
He was at the Nike Skills Academy...not the Anthony Davis Skills Academy.
"A lot more" was the key to that post. And to the above, I guess I was confused because in the instagram pic McGary said he was with AD "at his camp." My bad.
My point is that there ARE plenty of other guys available. There's a lot of these camps with more experienced guys. And again, I was confused in thinking this was an Anthony Davis camp.

Hopefully this means no more missed dunks! Oh I kid, I kid Mitch McGary. In all seriousness, I think he is going to start making some more athletic plays now that his foot issues should be well behind him and his conditioning has improved. I think he's going to be a dominant player this year.
