Posted this in the thread below, but wanted to start some discussion so here's my take on Mitch Mcgary and GRIII who both played in the All American Championship game today.
Glenn Robinson III #13 North: Stats
6-7 fg, 16 pts
1 off board
Scouting Report: Won player of the game. He's a freakish athlete who really showed his stuff today. Extremely versatile, and is built in the same mold as Tim Hardaway Jr., except of GRIII's 6 field goals, 5 of them were dunks, and another was a layup in the post. He needs to work on his free throw shot (finished 4-10 with a couple of key missed ones towards the end) but otherwise should be an extremely good bench player pushing for starters minutes in Beleins guard oriented offense.
Mcgary (by my count):
3-7 fg, 7pts
1 off board
Scouting Report: McGary is a solid solid player. He's not perfect in any part of his game, but he'll bring a developed rebounding presence, and he's a hustle machine (think Novak on steroids). His size will definitely be welcome in Michigans poor post presence, and while he may be limited offensively, keep in mind he's playing in this game against the headliners of the strongest big man class in recent history. He's a legit 6'10 body, with good width, and I can't wait to see him in Beleins system.
