because the last time I did I overstepped my bounds and let emotion take over common sense. However comma I don't blame the players, for what happened Saturday. You are the head coach at what used to be considered one of the top flight schools for CFB. And being held responsible for what happened? Yeah it's kind of your job! But, I will say this, after reading this article and seeing some other things on here I think it's necessary to say: if you are reading this, you are like me a Michigan fan, through and through. We are universally hated around the country because of this so called "arrogance" that seeps from our "Go Blue" culture. I know, I live in South Carolina (SEC Country) and travel alot. no matter where I go I get shit for wearing my Michigan hat.

So, if like me Saturday pissed you off...so be it. But, keep faith because like Bo said, "When your team is winning, be ready to be tough. Because winning can make you soft. On the other hand if your team is losing, stick by them, KEEP BELIEVING."

Having tried to be a little inspirational there does not negate the facts.

1. We have talent

2. We have a lot of it.

3. Something in the way that talent is being coached...just isn't right.

4. Until someone does something to develop said talent, then yes we will be just another program.

I'm pissed because Hoke, his coaches, and the players shit the bed against ND. They barely had a pulse all night. Nuss hasn't made one shred of difference so far. Does he need "his Guys?"

They have an opportunity to right the ship. It's a long year and the Big Ten title is still out there. And really that's all they can hope for because they aren't even remotely close to winning National Championship.

...as an new, incoming offensive coordinator, I think I would have looked at M's most successful games from last year with Gardner (ND and Ohio) and cherry picked elements from those games and integrated them into my offensive scheme. I don't think arriving at that conclusion takes a brain surgeon to figure out. Parts of last year's schemes fit the players' collective skill set.

Oh well. What the hell do I know??

I would say the game plan offensively wasn't the problem. I don't want to put it all on 1-2 players, or actually 3(the 2 missed FGs had to kill some confidence), but the run game should have been better simply by Green being patient and not missing a few cutback lanes. I vote Smith to start...he has to get more carries than green. Even if he happens to be slower he has better vision and always falls forward for a few extra yards. The pass game...well we know the decision making blunders there... Hopefully we figure it out!

We had two high draft picks at OT, a record setting WR along with Funchess, and a running back who just got promoted to the Ravens active roster a few days ago.  People consistently argued the last two years that Schofield was overrated and that guys like Fitz and Omameh weren't good enough physically.  They said Denard wasn't a "real QB" so lining up in the I and giving away games as a result was A-OK.  Turns out now that all the evidence is in we had a great opportunity that was pissed away.

Borges wasted a shitload of offensive talent for three years, Hoke bitched about his roster and completely failed to restock it, and now we are left with the worst of all possible worlds.

We have one skill position player any team is remotely frightened by, a lack of elite talent on the offensive line, and all our QB eggs in the Shane Morris basket going forward.  That isn't the fault of a guy who just got hired after signing day.

No doubt Saturday was miserable.  But I'm still hopeful (perhaps stupidly so) that the team improves over the course of the season--enough to think that they can be contenders next year with a favorable schedule, more seasoned roster, and yet another excellent recruiting class.

As a Browns, Indians and Leafs fan I cannot see any correlation between Michigan at present and actual misery.

I know misery, misery was a friend of mine and Michigan's current situation is not misery.

Sorry, but Michigan has been "Just Another Program" since David Brandon took it over. Other than the fact that it's Maize and Blue and the Big House, what experience does David Brandon provide that you can't get at most other major college programs?

When Brandon turned it all into a money grab, he made Michigan Just Another Program.  When Brandon decided he is the de facto head football coach, he turned Michigan into Just Another Program.  The only thing that Michigan is "leaders and best" at is extracting more money from the fans while degrading their game day experience, both in the stands and on the field.

I want to my first game in 1960 and went to at least 100 games in the Big House before I moved away.  I never thought I would say this, but the Brandon Fiasco has angered me to a point where I don't even miss Ann Arbor on football Saturdays anymore.

I like this article because it calls Hoke out on the asinine things he says to the public.  It's a disgrace the way he represents this school to the media and treats its fan base.
