Minor's Drive

Thank you Brandon Minor (and also the stellar O-line play). We wouldn't even be talking about "Denard or Tate" if Minor and the O-line hadn't reached into the vaults of Michigan past (2 years ago) and just power ran the hell out of Iowa for a drive.

It is amazing to watch a team so offensively diverse that they can line up in a Power-I and then change to the Spread Option on the very next series.

I'm going to miss Brandon Minor, more than I miss Mike Hart. The guy is just a bone crusher. It pains me to think about what we missed out on with him.

Also, props to the defense for an awesome game last night.

Strictly speaking, we gave up

Strictly speaking, we gave up 30 because we turned the ball over 4 times and only scored 28 because we turned the ball over 5 times. But your point still holds, that guy's a douche.

You said that, right?

I certainly watched and I

I certainly watched and I know parts of the defense were much improved. But what pisses me off the most is Mike Williams, He looked like crap out there, and our inability to sack the QB when he had him behind the line, multiple times.

It was awesome to see some

It was awesome to see some old school football and that RR does see reasons to use it. In no way would I ever miss Minor more than Hart but he has a been a solid back at UM.

Chitown did you see Tate in the endzone

after that long over throw when he was grabbing his throwing hand? It seemed he had injured it or was severly cold. It looked pretty red.

And later when he got drilled after a throw on his last play he seemed woozy getting up and seemed a little off after that. He seemed punch drunk when we took the field for the final drive and started to go on the field and RR called him back.

Do you think he was OK or a little messed up?

Interesting take

I saw his grab his hand in the end zone, but then I saw the replay and he wasn't touched on that play. So, I figured I was mistaken.

I also noticed him trying to take the field and RichRod having to hold him back, but I figured he was just kind wishing he was gonna play.

Perhaps you're right, maybe Tate was indeed a little messed up yesterday.

Minor is a game changer.

I think we played a great game last night. Our young team made young mistakes.

I feel for our guys, they played their hearts out. Especially the offensive line.

Tough loss, but the ceiling is ridiculously high.

we actually get some blocking

we actually get some blocking up front consistently for once, even without Molk, and now i find myself liking our chances against PSU

I agree

I had kind of chalked up an L against Iowa and PSU this year. After the performance last night in a game that we certainly could have won, I really like our chances against PSU at home. Lets hope we have a good week next week first against DSU and get to 5-2 then start talking about Penn State. We still have a lot to play for this season and I'm excited about it. I wish we still controlled our own destiny in the B10, but at least we still control our own destiny for a NYday bowl for sure.

I also agree

Looking back at the Iowa vs. PSU game, PSU was dominated at the line on both sides of the ball. Our lines, for the most part, consistently out played Iowa. I'm feeling good about PSU game, now let's get some momentum in a win against Del State!

I wouldn't say that

Iowa averaged more than a yard per rush compared to Penn State. Penn State's OL has generally been considered weak all year.

And to think, MSU once again

And to think, MSU once again lost to CMU. Go away.
