Minnesota Maize Out

Just received an email saying it's a Maize out...

I really wish they would put the Maize Outs back on the tickets.

Blue and grey make for a dull crowd at the game. Maize everygame.

How what color they wear makes the crowd dull.

As said below, our uniforms aren't maize, there's a lot less use for bright yellow clothes in general, and it's not exactly an intimidating color.  They tried a blue out once against MSU, but it just kinda all blended together. It looks good on tv, but that's about it.

My word choice may have been poor, so you're right about it not making a crowd 'dull'.

I just don't think it's too much to ask for our crowd to have a large majority wearing one color. Maize. Blue. Whatever - I was just agreeing that it's funny we have to denote a game for us to wear our most bold (boldest?) school color.

The student section is always so obvious because no one else can do anything consistent. I realize there's not much to do about it, I just think it's a funny necessity.

U-M Students to Stage Blue Out Against Michigan State ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Students at the University of Michigan will be a bit blue on Nov. 2 -- blue in color, that is. The inaugural Blue Out, a student-led effort to blanket Michigan Stadium in uniform support for the football team, will be staged as the Wolverines host intrastate rival Michigan State. All Wolverine fans are encouraged to wear blue to the game and help provide a united backdrop in the stadium. Commemorative long-sleeved T-shirts will be available at a price of only $10 each starting Monday, Oct. 21. T-shirts will be on sale from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. weekdays at the Union and on the Diag. The T-shirts, designed by the student leaders behind the event, will feature the Blue Out slogan, "Go Blue! Beat MSU!" and the date of the game. T-Shirts are not available by mail. The Michigan Student Assembly, the University of Michigan Athletic Department, and the Alumni Association proudly support the Blue Out. For general questions about the Blue Out, please contact justgoblue@umich.edu.

I know two girls from ASU that are very smart.  One, who went to ASU for in-state purposes, is incredible at economic policy.

I know several other people that went to ASU because they wanted boobs, booze, or hot guys (or I guess an interesting combination of all three).  You're not going to shake off your reputation as a party school on this blog.  Or in most people's minds.

Michigan with the maize outs in September look great. When it gets cold who the hell cares what you wear as long as your warm and showing off your team.

This one showing by the PSU crowd is the reason that I still consider them to be the best fans in college football.  The turnout in white was amazing.  I still wonder if the AD paid the money to provide the shirts to fans (like U-M did with the pom-poms for the UTL game) . . .
