...and then you'll drink a little water.
Is that Mt Cody?
dairy is whack
Come in with the milk
Come in with the milk
Come in with the milk
Come in with the milk
Come in with the milk
What is milk?
The better question is, I have nipples, can you milk me?
The milk you drink is spiked?
You mean there is milk that isn't spiked? Who would have thought?
Seriously what is this so called milk?
It's something you mix vodka and Kaluha with, then pour it over ice in a glass.
No, sir... you must use cream (although lets not turn this into a cream posbang). Also, try vanilla vodka instead, even though it is not the true recipe, it beats a true White Russian.
Whenever someone makes a white russian with milk it always throws me off. It's always half and half. An urban achiever would know these things, right?
They call it melk in Wesconsin.
Being from Wisconsin I love when outsiders call it Wesconsin. I usually ask them if they can locate easconsin on a map.
I've seen milk in this thread so much that now the word looks funny the way it is spelled. It's a dang foreign word now. Or maybe I need sleep.
It was "key" a couple days ago. The worst was "the."
Yes, they pushed this campaign from every angle in the 1980s...
Those damn growth hormones they feed to the cows...
Am I the only one that thinks 'Milk Posbang' sounds really dirty?
You asked this cause I have been a member since 2009 and still have no fucking clue what Posbang means
I must be getting old if people don't know what a posbang is. It's from back when voting on posts affected your point total. It started out with negbang, which sounds like gang bang. There was a troll and people would neg the shit out of him. Someone posted a photo similar to this:
in response to the troll and the term negbang was born. Posbang is the logical opposite of that. People would create threads after big wins and whatnot where everyone who posted could get their point total increased significantly.
Milk me baby!
From MadTV's Kenny Rogers Jackass skit. Warning, a couple of mild language issues.
This blog and its readership are ridiculous. i love it.
That might be the champagne talking after a long celebration tonight, and it might be genuine. Probably a little bit of both. Either way, BlueDragon, LSAClassOf2000, everyone else posbanging for milk I should remember to mention but didn't (sorry)...cheers!
How about you sideburns, you want some of this milk?
This milk can be our milk.
I'm more of a cheese guy myself.
The earliest use of "posbang" I could find was simply meaning "upvote" - from http://mgoblog.com/mgoboard/richard-ash-commit-24 on Dec.8 2009. Lutha wrote:
I'm sure Shredder or MTGTM have similar posbang totals for their MS Paint contributions. Does anyone know who has the Mgoblog record for biggest posbang for a single post?
Also, I've seen "Posbang" used to refer to when everyone used to get points for each upvote on one of their comments and so people decided to get together and "posbang" each other - posting over and over again and upvoting each others' posts for the points. Then the event is referred to as a "Posbang."
Upon googling, it appears that this term is an MGoExclusive. Now, use it as part of your vernacular during your non-blog time so that we can snowball it into something bigger than ourselves.
So enough exposure to posbanging can lead to snowballing?
Sorry, my M-Wolverine impressions aren't very good. I'm sure I'd laugh much harder at an original.
Actually Google turned up a NSFW use on Feb 26, 2007 and June 21st, 2007 on these pages:
www.videobox.com/flashPage/90431 (NOT SAFE)
http://www.videobox.com/flashPage/2323406/ (NOT SAFE)
The posters use both "Neg bang" and "Pos-bang" to refer to other posters who are excessively clicking to change the rating of a post over and over again - hence the "banging" expression.
Admittedly, I can't find more than these references so it either didn't catch on or google's cache is insufficient for this sort of research.
...........Or..... we have found what websites Lutha enjoys in his free time.
Can you tell which one of us has our safe search on? On a side note, know we know who was surfing MGoBlog and porn at the same time two years ago...
I love the idea that the 'posbang' started here, but that ain't true.
We do get credit for correcting the record on how many hookers Craig James may have killed, though. And that certainly is something to be proud of.
I'm not much of a Sean Penn fan these days...
have you ever wondered what the guy who discovered that milk came out of a cows utters was doing????
My uncle likes to say that the first man to try cheese was the bravest man who ever lived.
Better than the guy who discovered caviar by squeezing a fish's ass into his mouth.
I don't find that one so weird. At least as food goes. I can see most meats, but a lot veggies and other ground fair (mushrooms are good...if they're not the kind that kill you), or spices (which ground up are good...which aren't), and food that has to basically spoil to be "good" are rank higher. I mean, who sat there and decided "salt tastes good...sand, not so much."
Milk...it all probably came about when prehistoric Kate Upton said to her husband "no, that's for the BABY!"
I know this is dead and done, but it hit me what normal food always struck me as weird- rice. Who thinks "if I boil this rock hard grain thing for a long time it'll become a soft food that can go with anything?"
I hate when people pronounce milk, melk...I also hate Melky Cabrera; the schadenfreude with his b**ch a** lately is great.
Did someone say Milk?!
Where is Kate?
It so obviously deserves two.
This thread is udderly amazing.
I'M HERE FOR THE POSBANG!!!
LOOKS AROUND AT ALMOST EMPTY ROOM
DAMMIT I'M LATE AGAIN!
and nobody is here to help out.
On another note, your electronic music was a hit, I got a few of your songs and added them to my library. Also relating to music, B-Nut-GoBlue recommended a rapper called Theophilus London, I got an album of his and loved it, have you heard of him?
I haven't checked out his album yet (but I will) but I got this remix of his from a friend a few months ago. It's pretty damn good:
It features A$AP Rocky, who is my other new favorite-rapper-of-the-moment (his song Goldie is very good, IMO).
Damn good song there. Stellar production with a great sample choice, and some quality rapping with it. Definitely being added to some playlists now.
Just off the top of your head, what kind of indie/alternative rock are you into? I'm much more into this kind of music, but the girlfriend is a huge fan of that genre, so I end up exposed to a lot of it.
It really depends with my indie music taste. I go through streaks where certain bands stick out more than others. As of late I've been on a bit of a Vampire Weekend (not terribly underground indie, but indie) roll, but I also listen to a lot of Noah and the Whale, I'm a big big Bon Iver fan as well as a huge Frightened Rabbit fan. Sufjan Stevens is always good. Bombay Bicycle Club has a bunch of good songs too. I like the more well known indie bands too like Mumford and Sons and Of Monsters and Men.
Some other good ones off the top of my head:
- Broken Bells
- Joshua Radin
- The Shins
- Tally Hall
- Explosions in the Sky
Edit: One more Rap/Rock group for you to check out: Blakroc. It's actually a combo of The Black Keys and various rappers. Awesome Blues Rock Rap ensues.
two year anniversary last night, too much champagne I guess, or I would ask her about your picks and some better insight on hers. The ones I know she's into are: Manchester Orchestra, Arctic Monkeys, Cage the Elephant, Bright Eyes, The Decemberists, Iron & Wine, Mumforf & Sons, Something Corporate, Vampire Weekend, probably others I'm forgetting.
IMO, Manchester Orchestra has one amazing song (Simple Math) and the rest are a bit "meh", Arctic Monkeys and Cage the Elephant have a lot of good quality stuff with a couple or few greatish songs, and I'm not too knowledgeable about the rest of them, or at least I don't think I am late at night with some booze in me.
Also, on long car trips, I like when she plays one of Lily Allen's albums, It's Not Me, It's You, which is a lot more popular overseas than I would have imagined. Pleasant listening the whole way through (a woman's voice is probably easier on a headache, which would explain it) and the song "Fuck You" echoes a lot of feelings I have on the world.
Wooooo Indie Bands!
I'm going to see Manchester Orchestra Thursday night! And Fang Island tomorrow night!
Stuff I've been digging lately:
Band of Horses (always)
The Gaslight Anthem
The Joy Formidable
The Naked and Famous
I need some stuff to listen to today. Grooveshark is your friend.
AA love with Tally Hall. +1 for you.
Unknown Mortal Orchestra FTW
I use water with cereal. #buckylarson
I opened this thread having no idea what it could possibly be about. I'm still a little confused.
I just drank a big glass of chocolate milk.
you show up too late to a posbang thread. (sad face)
That is a LOT of Calcium!
Maybe it will all be more clear to me then. Right now it just looks like a karma conspiracy.
I misread this as MILF posbang and clicked right away. My bad, I'll go sit in the Steven R Kass "thinking sexual thoughts" penalty box.
