I was about to create this thread before I left work.

Call me crazy, but I chose Air Force in the pool. I have some faith in the smoldering remains of the Mountain West Conference.

For those that were looking for fewer errors and a power-running game....well....um....anyway....

EDIT: PAM WARD ALERT! Does Hawkins look like he would like to be anywhere except next to Pam Ward?

Can you get to the end zone with just laterals and run plays? If you're playing Air Force, the answer might be "yes", but Toledo strayed from the plan and started throwing to the receiver to the RIGHT of the QB.

EDIT: Was the infield fly rule in effect on that punt?

EDIT: I like that the officiating is being done almost completely with non-verbal cues. Intergrating performance art into CFB officiating has been a mission of many.

DOUBLE EDIT: Pam Ward had said that AFA's special teams were all  good. Excellent call, Pam. They tried very hard to keep up with Toledo's KR guy.

We have now experienced three bowls in a row with run defense that would be just marginally better if the DBs would plank strategically so as to trip up the ball carrier.

Air Force has struggled on Defense ever since Tim Deruyter left to be DC at A&M and now HC at Fresno St. Doubt anything radical will change this offseason to switch it up. That said, Air Force recruits a lot of Kovacsian type guys to play safety.and that may limit Denards big plays, I'd look for Fitz to have a big day though.

This game has been made with the play in the secondary. Yes, I am serious...sadly.

END: 28-28 is your score at halftime. Over / under on fullback dives by Air Force in the second half? Who has a number?

Air Force's offensive line just....disappeared on that sack.

EDIT: In retrospect, a fullback dive on  3rd and 17 was looking awfully promising, but Air Force had to throw, and....TD Rockets.

DOUBLE EDIT: Air Force answers their QB Oh Noes with a shredding of Toledo's defense. 35-35 tie now.

Always sponsored by the same sponsor as the home bowl location sponsor? (AllState for both the Champ game and Sugar Bowl)

I just got home to start watching. After seeing all three academies play, I've got a recommendation--snap the ball on the first motion from the wingback. It'll blow everyone's mind.
