What does it have to do with anything??? This is how crappy things are for them now when this is all they to get excited about!
to travel with the team when they go to Indiana for games, or has the casino laid down the hammer?
I have imagined great victories, and I have imagined great races. The races are better.
I think it would be a good signing in drawing in recruits. Wheatley is doing pretty well getting the attention of some good recruits for Syracuse.
He should fit in well there. (Source: http://www.kmbc.com/r/27426547/detail.html)
I kid, Mike, I kid. Somewhat, anyway ...

And a good sign for Fickell's viability as a long-term candidate.
Playing in the NFL for 14 years with 3 super bowl rings probably draws some interest. He played as a DE in college but switched to LB for the Pats. With it being this close to the season, this has to be the best name that they could get and if Fickell is gone next year having a year coaching OSU's linebackers probably doesn't look too bad on a resume if you're trying to get into coaching.
According to Bucknuts, it will be announced on Monday that he is the new coach.
I come in peace?
Again, I say...meh.
He has had a pretty good career in the NFL given his limitations; good for him to more on and to have this fall back position. That said, it's not like he's Mattison or has a pedigree as a coach in developing players at any level.
I don't think this moves the meter a hell of a lot; good idea to announce it Monday after the "response" tomorrow and the Buckeye wrist slap.

Was that article insinuating he would "fill the vacancy on the defensive side" as a D-Coord?
That would definitely be a risky move...
