This is a tough year. If they don't latch onto Frost, they are in a world of hurt. With a ton of big name schools looking for coaches, they would be lucky to get a MAC coach to come to the middle of nowhere. Nebraska has huge tradition, but it is literally in the middle of nowhere.

It's just a hunch but with the scarcity of quality coaches available this year I wouldn't be suprised if Nebraska all but confirmed Scott Frost was interested i the job before firing Riley.

Mike Riley was such an underwhelming hire from go and it went south so fast that I am not shocked at all. It's hard to go from near zero expectations in Corvallis to a team that got rid of a coach that could routinely get them to 9-3. Everything about this made little sense, and now Nebraska has essentially wasted a few years of program time.
