I know that his tackling wasn't perfect as the seasons wore on, but having 5th year seniors leadership on this young defense will be important. Plus, he has a number of great games this year. If he works on his tackling and consistency, he could be an important part of our defense.

Seemed like he was a little banged up towards the end of the season.  Glad he's back.  Really glad he's back.

I'm glad McCray is back to lead the defense, but what is the scholarship situation like for Michigan right now?

I know early in the recruiting cycle there was talk of of the 2017 class approaching 29-31 recruits at the end of it all. Do we still have to space to take that many?

Thanks! Is that chart up-to-date because it looks like it is counting Kenny Allen and Ryan Glasgow as non-scholarship players? Either way, it won't matter since they're both on their last year of eligibility anyways.

Otherwise, if I'm reading this chart right, without attrition and with Drake Johnson's + Jeremy Clark's potential 6th years... Michigan has 22 available scholarships for the next class?

I wanted to see more Gary on the opposite end of Peppers, but not as a hand in the ground edge rusher, but instead in an upright stance with the option to seal the edge or come around the edge on pass plays.  This was because I felt our LBs had trouble sealing the edge.

I'm hopeful McCray can improve on this, as I doubt Peppers will be around to help on one side of the field next year, and we may need Gary more inside now that we lose some DT's. A lot will depend on Hurst staying or not. Hurst and Mone make a solid front, but will we have good depth?

I haven't wanted to talk about the osu game since it ended, but I will say that from what I remember McCray had an incredible game. I'm sure there were some blown assignments. But overall he made a lot of big plays

I thought he was really good last year and his speed was a big asset. Maybe because we were all so nerous about the LBs. Glad he's back.

We need all of the experience that we can get, and McCray came out from the shadows this year and showed improved play as the season went on. He was a beast in some of the later games, including the OSU game. Now hoping that some of the others do the same!
