Mike Hart scores first TD

1st quarter on a 1-yard run against the Bills. I would really love to see him catch on in the NFL

Your "Hopefully some Fla or Texas recruits are watching this game and realize snow is a necessity in the NFL..." made me laugh. Keep hope alive because I am willing to bet Southern kids are not really thinking about needing to be in cold weather to play in the NFL when there are so many in the league that played in warmer climates in college.

Congrats to Hart for a (finally) well-deserved (if temporary) chance to play and his first score. On a related note, Henne is 4/5 with a TD as of this post. Brady hasn't accounted for any scores yet, Manningham isn't playing and I don't think any other former Wolverines have done anything of note yet. UPDATE: Ryan "Yards After" Mundy has a tackle in the Steelers-Dolphins game. Also, Henne's added a pick to his score but so did former Buckeye Santonio Holmes UPDATE UPDATE: Henne's out of the game apparently due to an eye injury. Brady's back out for the second half despite Welker's serious injury that took him out (which will really, really hurt them in the playoffs).

If, and that's a big if, Hart can stay healthy, there's a spot for him somewhere in the NFL. The same seems to be true about Brandon Minor. I see that Brandon's not projected to be drafted. Minor was a beast, even while injured. However, if someone's expected duration of play is only a few games, then maybe he's a valuable free agent pick-up, that I'm thinking will make a team.

I think that some team will pick him up in rounds 5-7. Durability is a huge concern but he's proven that he is extremely valuable while healthy. Definitely worth taking a risk on since most late round picks never pan out anyways.

Glad to see he got one in the NFL, I was just wondering everyone's favorite Hart td at Michigan? I think mine was the Capital One Bowl where he ran over Spikes and looked at him like he was a little girl.

In a way I hate to bring this up, but one of my top Hart TDs came during the Horror. Michigan was down in the 4th quarter when Hart ran for a 54-yarder to give us a one point lead. That was his third of the game (to go along with almost 200 rushing yards) and at the time it felt like he was just single-handedly willing the team back into the lead.

What I love about Hart, is his "can do" attitude, something missed from the more recent UofM teams (except for Graham). Hart wasn't the biggest, the fastest, or most agile player, but he made up for it with a terrific work ethic and attitude. When the team faced adversity, they could turn to him for leadership. I may be wrong, but I can't really think of anyone on the current roster, who is a real motivating leader in the huddle/locker room (Tate has potential). I could be wrong, so I ask you all...

I hope this is the first of many many more. After coming back from his knee injury last year, and all that he did at Michigan, he deserves the opportunity to prove his worth and Mettle in the NFL. BE LIKE MIKE!
