BWC vs. EMU - not for a sack but hot damn he slammed.

Kovacs vs. Persa: Lose yo' Head

D MVP- Kovacs. He's the best tackler on the team and he has helped lead the secondary's turnaround.

O MVP- Hemingway. When it comes down to it, he's been huge in the games that matter in winnning those jump balls. It's a shame he hasn't got more catches.

ST MVP- Wile. Gallon is doing an infinitely better job of fielding punts but has not been very explosive. Wile on the other hand did a decent job of filling in on punts and has had OK kickoffs (except for a couple last night, and my guess is the directional kicking will be worked on more in conjunction with the coverage).

MIP- RVB. Not sure he ought to be in this category but since you put him here, I will take him. He's gotten pressure consistently on the QB, stepping up while MM is double teamed. Really effective player and a team leader.

Best Newcomer- Jeremy Gallon.  Not only is he doing a good job of fielding kicks but he has all but passed Roundtree on the depth chart as the number two. Great slot receiver, the TD he scored yesterday against NW was outstanding.

Best Hit: Kovacs on Carder.

I have a hit that is not in the choosing. If anybody recorded the NW game, or can somehow watch it over again, on Denard's first interception, Jeremy Gallon absolutely, positively lays out and destroys a reciever that is trying to block him. That hit gets my vote.

so many guys deserve credit, but gun to my head, I'd say:

Def MVP = JMFKovacs.  He just makes plays.

Off MVP = David Molk.  Denard is awesome and lots of praise to go around for the sill positions, but it all starts up front.  Read the UFRs...we are going to miss David Molk.

ST = Wile.  The punting situation could have been a disaster, but it wasn't.  Deep kickoffs are helping, and he also makes tackles (stop having to do that please).

Most improved = Jeremy Gallon.  I come back to him b/c I was very critical last year due to the fumbles.  This year, he catches everything, and makes big plays.

I love this team.

D MVP:  Has to be Kovacs, Bo would've loved this kid

O MVP:  Denard, I mean, come on.

ST MVP:  Gallon, remember the days we couldn't catch a punt?

Most Improved:  How about Lewan?  Remember all those penalties he used to make?  I think BWC could make a run at this too if he continues to impact games like the last couple weeks.

Most importantly:  Hoke...they are buying in.  The team is speaking as one.  There doesn't appear to be any internal friction (well, duh, we're winning), but the players are whole-heartedly believing now.

You guys know what the beauty of this thread is?

We can't all agree on one person, or even two people.

That's how it's supposed to be.
