That was a nice call at the end, and I can understand a bit with all the jersey grabbing, but that should have been a foul call. You can't grab a guy's jersey when he is going for the ball like that.

But we would also have gotten hammered with a few other calls that were either missed or let go. They called a pretty damn loose game, both teams with only five fouls with one minute remaining. And it's not like it wasn't a physical game. This loss hurts like a motha. We should have won, as much as I hate saying that anymore.

He probably would have, but then again UM probably got away with a couple of grabs. My issue was that on the final shot, grabbing a guy on his way up needs to be a foul. I know the refs don't want to decide the game, but the part everyone forgets is that you are just letting a blatant foul decide the game. It was a close call (it was a tough shot to begin with, and I'm not sure Simms would have hit it completely unmolested), but a call needed to be made. Also, considering what happened to Manny last year for elbowgate, it was another dagger to see Lucas hit the game-winning shot when he may very well have been sitting on the bench if LLP had simply crashed to the floor and rolled around a bit.

It kills me. It seems like were so close yet so far. I am so sick of ESPN and ABC showing our sad faces after a another tough loss. When will the Michigan loving gods awaken from thier slumber? I can't wait to start kicking some ass in football and basketball again. You just wait Big 10 we will get you back!!!

That is heartbreaking. I haven't watched a lot of M basketball this year so I don't know how it compares to other games... But I've gotta say, hats off to the student section. Great energy from them tonight. I think having a great student section is key to having a great bball program all around, and the students represented tonight.
