Michigan/Late Afternoon Games Open Thread

I just don't want to deal with the Liveblog today.  And there are a number of good games in all 3 slots for a change. No #1 vs. #2, but a lot of depth this weekend.

It seems both Robinson and Gardner struggle to make smart decisions week in and week out. It's quite frustrating. I don't know if the coaches can teach football intelligence.

It's like they just don't play smart football.

I'm not calling them dumb people. But they simply make too many dumb choices as the QB.

A lot of people say that's why Rich Rod's offense worked for Denard AND Devin. It simplified things.

But it didn't work as well for Denard from week 6 onward.  (Gardner didn't play from then on, so we don't know how he'd have done.)  Defenses caught onto his tendencies and his production dropped across the board, while his INTs soared.

I don't think there is some magical combination of playcalls that can make Denard a superstar.  He simply is limited in too many areas, and defenses know it.  He's got to improve as a player.

Mattison's D is way ahead of Borges offense. Considering it was the other way around last year as far as our O and D is what makes it frustrating.

Put Gardner in so DR will at least realize that its not acceptable to turn the ball over repeatedly without consequence. What does a QB have to do to get pulled around here anyway?
