If not for the cross-check, I would be pissed they called that back. But that's a dirty play. I know that's not why it was called back, but what the fuck are you doing crosschecking the goalie? Come on. That's not Michigan hockey. As for the slight bump, that probably didn't cause the goal.

Michigan 1, Wisconsin 2

Mersch from Faust and Navin at 1:02

Motte from Downing and Hyman at 10:10

Zengerle on a penalty shot at 16:14

shots were 14-9 U-M, U-M leads 26-19 overall

Each team was 0-1 on the PP, U-M 0-4 and WIS 0-2 in the game

- Michigan controlling play more often than not but they are not converting the good chances they get.

- too many Michigan shots going right into the goalie's chest...that is frustrating

- Wisconsin's first goal was an awesome individual effort in front of the net, chipping it around the defenseman and then beating Nagelvoort

- The penalty shot was unfortunate, DeBlois was beat clean and took him down, good play if the PS is stopped....but it wasn't

- Michigan playing decent hockey, they still have two games in hand on Minnesota while being 8 points back...a win here would be huge for the conference regular season race

The defensemen can't pinch in that spot. Downing went all the way into the zone to try and get that puck. A chip off the glass and Zengerle was gone, way too fast for DeBlois to catch up.
