Thanks for the responses, after I sent that I immediately regretted it because I thought they had reached bonus.

But I said game theory because game theory to me (I'm open to being wrong on this) is "In situation x, you should do y".

We're up 5 in an arena we haven't ever won at, shooting 61% from the field, 4-5 from downtown and made all of our free throws.  What exactly are your expectations?

The defense could be better, but we're also playing one of the best (in terms of offensive efficiency) teams in the country too.

Right. The defense could be better. My grading is based on the mistakes we made, missed opportunities, etc. it should be hard to get an A for a half unless you're damn near perfect. Regardless of opponent, venue etc. A B- is good enough to win games sometimes, and I'm not saying we can't win, but it wasn't perfect and we threw great chances a way. Expectations and standards are always the same- every game, every year. We didn't meet them a lot of the time before Beilein

Michigan's offense struggles whenever  they go hero ball. Need to keep making Wisconsin play defense instead of taking quick 1 on 1 shots.

Fairly good half, but we got a little trigger happy those last few minutes, taking long twos early in the clock.  Defense inside has actually been solid, but we could stand to defend the three better.

Need to finish off drives in the second half - we can get into the paint at will, so we need to either get to the basket or make that extra pass.  No more settling for pull ups.  Defensively, play with discipline and keep up the hustle inside.

The only critique I really have is that Stauskas and Levert were settling for some long one-on-one jumpers, which is ordinally passable, but our offense has been so good due to our ball movement.

Against Wisco in the 2013 BIG Tourney we scored 59 pts.  The last time in the Kohl center we scored 62 points in overtime!  This game is certainly outpacing those.

I say keep the inside defense tight and make them go for 3s, then there's less opportunity for the refs to screw us over with terrible fouls. If Wisky attacks the basket, they'll get everything.

Besides, they can't keep shooting at their current clip right? Right?

is really awful.  I know, I know -- and water is wet.  Why does he think we care about his views on the NBA?  Someone seems to be encouraging him to continue to press his "style."  Bad news.

My eyes told me that he was much more impactful than 7 points and 2 assists on 3/8 from the floor.  Look for a big second half from him.  Wiscy is going to have a hell of a time guarding both him and LaVert in the second half.

A few highlights:

Michigan effective FG% - 60.71%

Michigan offensive rebound % - 18.18%

Michigan free throw rate - 17.86%

Michigan turnover % - 18.82%

That is across 35 possesions. Wisconsin stacks up like this:

Wisconsin effective FG% - 51.56%

Wisconsin offensive rebound % - 22.22%

Wisconsin free throw rate - 18.75%

Wisconsin turnover % - 14.76%

Those are the so-called "four factors" at halftime, so we're rather getting by on our shooting right now. Hopefully, we can keep it up though. Go Blue!
