I dont think it is that far fetched if we get out of Utah unscathed.

I think if nothing else this year we clean up mistakes on offense and have a good special teams which swings a couple games in our favor right away.

Honestly what if we just cut the turnovers in half last year.  What does our record look like then.  I think Harbaugh is good for that.

I absolutely agree with this, except i believe if we lose to Utah, we enter MSU 4-2.

I have confidence this team will vastly improve exponentially each week.  The hardest game for Harbaugh will be this Utah game because he is still in the early stages of figuruing out what he has and teaching these kids.  After the first game, he will learn an LOT more about what he has.  And oh by the way, Utah is really, really good.  3rd hardest game on our schedule IMO.

IF we get by Utah, confidence will be high, the team will get much better week after week, and we will enter the MSU game (at our house) with an unbelieveable amount of confidence.

The Utah game is extremely important, and i believe if we win it, this is a 10 win team, maybe 11 and we split with MSU/OSU.

If we lose to Utah, we are an 8 win team (maybe 7) and lose the 2 big ones.

and an all world coach to finally coach that talent up.

The QB position will be much improved just from the fact that Harbaugh is coaching them, every game on our schedule is winnable, this team can go 10-2 or better very easily.

Evrywhere Harbaugh has been improved drastically right away and worsened as his fingerprints wore off after he left and SF is gonna suck right away, this is not a coincidence.

Couch is downplaying BYU, calling it 'manageable'. I want to think he's right, but a team that can run like BYU does scares me until Michigan proves they can stop it.

Get by Utah and BYU and we'll start talking.

Even if we struggle a bit early, we could easily go into the Ohio State game with only one Big Ten loss, thus giving us at least the chance to reprise 1969.  I'd take that.

Love dumb sh*t like this so we can put ridiculous expectations on the program and all be let down with 8-4 or 7-6. Give coach his 3 years please, and be pleasantly surprised with modest expectations.

There's no winning in saying stuff like this. If you're wrong it feeds the common notion that this fanbase is delusional. If you're right, everybody is celebrating the wins and nobody gives a damn about your old prediction. Either take a critical/analytical approach or just keep your mouth shut.

The Homer in me wants to believe we will be laying down the pipe on every single team that has the bad fortune to be scheduled vs Michigan.  But I also remember Nick Saban had 6 losses his first year along...think Pete Carroll was the same and these are not slouches.

Anyway if JH wins 7 games this year he has done a very good job.  Anything over that is gravy.

1) Michigan outgained Utah last year, 301 yds vs. 280yds. Gardener threw 3 interceptions, there was one fumble
2) Utah is replacing both their offensive and defensive coordinator. They were returning 2 CB's, one of them was kicked off the team for pulling a knife on someone
3) #Habaugh /micdrop
