As long as the final two home games in November are at Noon as all November home games should be, I'll be fine.
This game was obviously going to be a 3:30 game.
September 19th, 2016 at 11:57 AM ^
I imagine you'll be fine either way.
My vote will always be for the noon games as well
September 19th, 2016 at 11:57 AM ^
Nobody cares, wd.
September 19th, 2016 at 11:58 AM ^
I don't understand how you can say "as it should be". What does that even mean?

Aside from me not liking 3:30 starts in general, Bo said after the 1988 Minnesota game which was a slippery, sloppy monsoon that was played with windchill and in the dark on a carpet field that there would never be another 3:30 November game at The Big House again.
We should honor his wishes.
September 19th, 2016 at 12:07 PM ^
I was at that game. The weather sucked at noon too.
Bo also hated the Wave the first time we did it.
September 19th, 2016 at 12:21 PM ^
The wave does suck though
September 19th, 2016 at 12:58 PM ^
It's been around since 1983. Somebody likes it.
It's overdone, but in the enormous bowl that is Michigan Stadium, it is a thing of beauty.
Wave trivia: It's official name when it was first started at Michigan Stadium was "Maize in Motion."
September 19th, 2016 at 8:39 PM ^
the students used to know how to do it correctly
September 19th, 2016 at 12:07 PM ^
"We should honor his wishes."
Bo is dead, I don't care about his outdated wishes.
September 19th, 2016 at 12:17 PM ^
unnecessary.
September 19th, 2016 at 12:19 PM ^
I actually do care, but people tend to interpret Bo's "wishes" for their own agendas. They don't really know what his true wishes were, other than to beat Ohio State.

neg bomb to Bolivia, Owl!
September 19th, 2016 at 1:12 PM ^
Here, I'll post again so you can double up. He hasn't coached since the 80's, I wish we'd stop talking about him so much.
September 19th, 2016 at 1:17 PM ^
You could've said that instead.
Bo lives in the hearts and minds of all his players and those who loved him.

...dictating his desires for noon kicks from the grave...
He was a football coach.
September 19th, 2016 at 1:13 PM ^
I get the massive inferiority complex that inherently drives you and your like to obsess over all things Michigan, but jw what satisfaction you get out of posting on a site entirely devoted to Michigan. Pls explain. Thanks chief.
September 19th, 2016 at 1:15 PM ^
I am a Michigan fan who graduated from Michigan.
What's with your complex that anything not according to the party line must be attacked?
September 19th, 2016 at 3:05 PM ^
You're definitely a Michigan fan chief, I believe you.
September 19th, 2016 at 8:16 PM ^
Dodo bird?
Because, you know, your comment 'stincts'.
September 19th, 2016 at 12:07 PM ^
WD, it's 2016. Enough with your noon nonsense. These games should all be at 3:30 or later.

3:30 games are fine when they're necessary. Michigan-Wisconsin is very necessary.
Michigan-Colorado? Eh...
September 19th, 2016 at 8:22 PM ^
stay home?
In retrospect, a noon kickoff would have meant a rainy start to the game for both the fans and the players this past Saturday. Kinda ended up working in our favor, didn't it?!
September 19th, 2016 at 12:13 PM ^
So even though there won't be a monsoon and the game won't be played on a slippery, sloppy carpet field or in the dark, we should never have another 3:30 game? Bo made that comment before the stadium had lights. The field is also in excellent condition. Things have changed and it would be dumb not to have 3:30 games just because Bo didn't like them back in the 80's.
September 19th, 2016 at 12:19 PM ^
I said 3:30 November games.
September 19th, 2016 at 12:20 PM ^
HA!
You're starting to crack.
September 19th, 2016 at 12:29 PM ^
.....which changes none of the points I just made.
September 19th, 2016 at 12:16 PM ^
You not liking 3:30 is all the more reason to have exclusively 3:30 start times.

because at noon in November it's 80 and sunny?
September 19th, 2016 at 12:56 PM ^
Then just show up at the stadium at noon after eating your boring tailgating food, leave the stadium at approx 3-3:30 whenever a noon game should end, and head back home to your mom's basement. Problem solved. If it's a noon game you get to see it, if it's a 3:30 game oh freaking well. Just stop blabbing about your trivial concerns every fucking week when game times are announced.
September 19th, 2016 at 1:10 PM ^
You're more than welcome to stop by my tailgate. As is everyone who posts here.
First lot on the right on Potter off S. Main. I think we're having chicken sandwiches this week.

just might take you up on that...
September 19th, 2016 at 1:38 PM ^
Appreciate all you do around here, WD, but I'll be honest: its comments like these that make people look at Michigan, laugh, and say "that's a program living in the past."
We all love Bo. But just because he said something should be one way does not mean that it needs to be that way, forever and ever, amen. Times change, pal. Students, players, and especially recruits LOVE night games. Makes zero sense to not have at least one per year.
You're obviously entitled to your opinion, but I'm also entitled to mine when I say I think you have a very antiquated opinion. Should a game against UNLV be played at night? I'd say no. But a game against PSU, Wisconsin, Nebraska, MSU, or dare I say even OSU? Abso-friggin-lutely.
September 19th, 2016 at 1:47 PM ^
I don't care what outsiders think because they aren't Michigan.
I've acknowledged it's an unpopular preference to want noon games. That's okay.
One night game a year at home against a non-rival B1G opponent or ND is fine.
What makes me laugh are the yokels in east lansing and columbus who crow about us not wanting to have them here for a night game.
Well.....why don't you have us at your place for a night game? I know why. Because there would be problems beyond anything that's been seen yet. And we know how the animals in columbus behave when it's a noon game.

You didn't even go to Michigan, and you're going to arbiter who "isn't Michigan"? Come on, man. Take a step back for a second.
September 19th, 2016 at 2:35 PM ^
You aren't "Michigan" either, kiddo. You're just a fanboy. An embarrassing, out of touch fanboy. You're inching your way to DameFan1 level now, not much further left to go.
You can do it! I know you can.
September 19th, 2016 at 8:30 PM ^
I bet you're thinking about stopping by WD's tailgate this Saturday too, right?
It's over on the corner of Potter and S.Main, but it's also over before noon.
September 19th, 2016 at 9:41 PM ^
The thought may have crossed my mind...
September 19th, 2016 at 4:02 PM ^
Now I think half our home games should be at night. If nothing else, the atmosphere and the exposure the program gets is 100X's what you get from a noon kick.
September 19th, 2016 at 12:04 PM ^
"Because Bo used to say, the toe meets Leather at 1. Since we don't do 1 kickoffs anymore, 12 is what he meant." - WD, too many damn times.
Aka, I don't need to do any errands on the weekend.
September 19th, 2016 at 12:07 PM ^

all games in Nov should be at Noon, thats cute..
September 19th, 2016 at 11:55 AM ^
Why is there a preference for Noon games - especially late in the season?
I'm genuinely curious as it seems many people have sincere and vociferous support for certain times over others.
I prefer night games - but I won't get many of those.
September 19th, 2016 at 11:59 AM ^
...so I like that the rest of my Saturday is wide open by 2:30-ish (Chicago time).
September 19th, 2016 at 11:58 AM ^
It's cold, and I drive home in the dark. That's about it for me
September 19th, 2016 at 2:14 PM ^
Too. Plus for those of us who have to drive two and a half hours each way we miss all the night games. I hate that.
September 19th, 2016 at 8:38 PM ^
but that hasn't stopped me from being at all of them.
Besides, in my younger days, I was accustomed to getting home on weekends 2:30-3 am (or later---or earlier---if I got lucky).
