Nah. Just too athletically limited to succeed in the Big Ten. Let's not overreact to an amazing stretch he played in the NC game as an unscouted player. If Walton is not ready to lead this team, they will not go far.

Even though we're not running anything we're just driving and kicking. I'd like to see us run something that resembles an offense at some point.

15-11 Michigan.

This is also why I don't like playing Horford and Morgan at the same time...they have to rest for an extended period at the same time.

Not that it matters being an exhibition, but still...

That said, Horford just checked back in.

Irivin is a big body, but he's not as explosive at GRIII and will never play the 4 for us.  He's a guard/wing.  Would love to see him able to play the GRIII 3/4 after GRIII leaves.  Won't happen, though.

Love Levert, Stauskas, GRIII.  Think Walton will be the primary PG, meaning we just don't have enough positions/playing time to add in much of Irvin, let alone Spike.  Moving GRIII to PF would open minutes up, but I think he'll mostly stay at the SF position.  Next year, though...

Just because that would be too many minutes for guys who aren't your best players. You've got to take minutes away from Morgan, Horford and Max B to give them to Spike and Irvin.

It's not like McGary can't play C for a 5-10 minutes and GRIII can't play PF for the same amount of time to give Spike and Irvin a few more minutes.

Interesting but not really surprising...LeVert, GRIII, Stauskas, Irvin are all so big, but move like guards so it doesn't really matter unless someone like Aaron Craft is on the other team.

Could help our defense to be able to switch more often and not create a mismatch.

True, but there has been a lot of talk about him playing the 3, and I think when we start playing big teams (B1G), he'll play more SF.  The more he can play the 4, the more we'll be able to get our best five on the floor for sure.

But just because he will, doesn't mean he can't play the 4 for a few minutes.

Just like McGary will primarily play the 4, but there are going to be times where he plays the 5.

Stauskas will have to play the 3 some, LeVert will have to play the point some.

Flexibility is a good thing. Some people act like it's a liability.

It seems like levert, spike, and walton are more willing to setup the offense and slow it down. Burke would occasionally force a drive or shot..but sometimes was a good thing.

I can't compare it to Denard enough, but it's just like how Denard would occassional check to a QB blast and call his own number. Or sometimes he'd call an option and never ever look to the RB...he's just turn it upfield.

You have the liberty to do that when you pretty much ARE the offense.

This team is going to be a lot different. It's a welcomed change after watching the PG carry the team for 3 years.

All three (LeVert, Spike, Walton) are more than capable of leading the team in scoring and getting their shots...but we won't RELY on it. Big difference.
