Not sure if the Liveblog continues today. Big Big game today. Advancing the program, or treading water. And of course we get the only 5 seed to survive, so match-ups don't come closer than this. Rest of the bracket doesn't look like world beaters if we win today. One down, five to go. Go Blue!

If Michigan wins this game the narrative will change from "VCU will beat Michigan" to "we do not know how good Michigan is becuase they played two mid majors."
We are better when we are not the favorite and have a chip on our shoulder. And we certainly won't be the favorite against Kansas.

I don't think VCU is used to running so much half court and so little of steals and turnovers. They're going to come balls to the wall with that press in the 2nd half though. There's nothing to lose. We better be ready for it.
Keep up the defensive pressure, shread the press and knock down an open three or two.
That first half sure justified Valenti's 4 hours of lambasting every Michigan caller who didn't admit they were terrified of VCU.

we need to double them up on the scoreboard. Remember PSU, fellas.
This is a bad matchup for VCU. Everyone on the court for us can handle the ball, and our big guy is fast, getting after it, and has great court vision. We should really put them away early on in the second half.
No real need for Horford/Morgan today, but if we can hold on here, they'll be needed next week.
